I dont know you but know that statue and park well. I love that area especially this time of year. I love that walk up Treme towards St Augustine Catholic Church. Really underrated area and food options in that general area are outstanding.

Having lived here my whole life. I'm glad someone can see the beauty of the not so mainstream touristy areas.
That said, the city itself is a chit hole.
