Sienna's Adventures In Cyberspace

Do we believe in the existence of ghosts?
Are they really the spirits of the dead or a trick of the mind?

This is where a lot of people will vary in their opinions I think.

Myself, being a christian, I believe there is a kind of existance after life and so every human soul has a spirit within which is released. Here my thoughts verge on budhism too, because I believe the spirit is meant to go on further through various stages of 'purification', reaching an unknown place somewhere... that somewhere I wish I knew and I think is open to many theories.

Ghosts, as we call them are 'unsettled' spirits belonging to souls who did not want to depart from life so quickly because of unfinished business perhaps in life.

Well, that is briefly what I believe... ;)

A few months after my dad had died my mum told me that he came to here while she was lying in bed. He lay down by her side, spoke to her and comforted her and in the morning he was gone.
To her this event was so real that I believe he truly was there.

does it matter after all, as long as she felt some relief?
