Shigure chuckled as Kyo pulled Alectra out of the door.

"She had a look of someone who's never tried fusion cuisine before. I'm sure she'll love it, though."

He handed one of the mugs of tea (which he realized to his chagrin that no one had touched yet) to Hatori.

"This is working out well, though, don't you think?"

Shigure chuckled as Kyo pulled Alectra out of the door.

"This is working out well, though, don't you think?"

*takes a sip* "So far...."
"But you do realize we need to be careful, my friend. Kyo is a wild one and Alectra has never been with one such as he before. "

"In the wider scheme, every result is a good result," said Shigure, sipping his own tea.

"If they like each other, that shakes things up, and it might even weaken the curse."

He put down his mug.

"And if it doesn't work out, Kyo will be all the more motivated on finding Honda. and then plan 'A' is back on the table."

Meeting Hatori's gaze, he quickly added, "And we'll still take good care of Alectra, of course."

"I like taking care of Alectra.....but it's a risky gamble introducing her to you two. I'm all she's ever known. "

Shigure smiled.

"Alectra is delightful, and she clearly adores you. But I kept the Cat and the Rat in a house together for years, so I'm sure I can handle this."

Kyo's gaze softened as the two walked toward the shopping district. He sighed lightly as she carried on about leeks and curry, thinking to himself 'Dammit, she reminds me so much of her... they even babble the same stupid way. Why did she come here? What's Akito's game now?'

He looked at the beaded bracelet on his arm, an eternal reminder of his torment, his broken promises, and his failures, while occasionally shooting casual glances at his newfound feline friend.

'What is it about this girl that makes me hope again? I couldn't ever be as close to her as I was to...' He stopped his train of thought, unable to even say her name in his internal monologue.

He did not utter a single word until they arrived at the shop.

"We're here. Now what is it we're supposed to buy? I hope you have some money." He replied, already forgetting about the wad of money Shigure stuffed in his hand before the two left.

"And don't even think about buying any leeks!"

"Hey there, strangers!" shouted a man in an overly jovial fashion from one of the market stalls.

The cat-possessed youths turned their faces to see a ramen stall tended by a tall, fat man, surprisingly dressed in a full Western business suit. He grinned at them, displaying several gold teeth.

"You want some fresh cooked ramen? You know what they say, 'The best ramen is the ramen someone else cooks'"

He waved his arm, indicating a lanky, spotty teenager of indeterminable gender wearing some kind of band shirt underneath a greasy apron.

"Why don't I get my business associate here to cook some up for you? I'll give you a real good price for it."

Alectra smiled at Kyo and pointed to his pocket. "Don't you remember? Shigure left you with the money. Also as I already just said, I don't like leeks so I'm not gonna buy any." Alectra then turned to the person and dug out some money herself before turning to Kyo. "I know we are supposed to bring some groceries home but I have some money myself so you want to get some ramen?" Alectra then smiled sweetly before going on. "Also I think it would be nice to maybe have some sweets, like some cakes and maybe some fruit too? I love strawberries so much! They are just the most delicious fruit in the whole wide world! Though cheesecake is even better." Alectra then blushed a little. "Sorry I seem to be rambling on, so what do you want to do? Get some fresh ramen or just buy the groceries for home? I'm kind of hungry myself but I don't want to eat in front of you if you aren't."

 

[Bjerget]

"Good because I really hate leeks!" He started to get agitated but stopped and looked at the noodle salesman who looked curiously out of place in Tokyo.

He quickly took Alectra by the hand and dragged her a few paces out of earshot. "I don't remember this shop but let's get some Ramen. I'm starving! We can bring some back for the others and forget the groceries! But let's try not to pay too much."

Kyo turned his attention to the salesman again and crossed his arms smugly.

"Yeah old man, what kind of prices you got? We might be interested."

The suited man smiled widely again and elbowed the greasy teenager at his side.

"Prices, eh? I'll give you some real good prices, but you gotta act quick!"

He took a deep breath.

"I have regular ramen 100 yen, chicken ramen 200 yen, and my special curry ramen is 350. But you're buying in bulk, right? How 'bout five boxes of ramen for one thousand yen? I'll throw in drinks, a couple of leeks and a carry bag."

He gave each of the potential customers a grin.

"But you have to act now. I have an important meeting coming up."

 

[Bjerget]

"Leeks! You sick bastard! Come on Alectra, we're going."'

Kyo grabbed for the girls hand but she was no where to be found. On the ground next to his feet was a little note that read: I am not what you think I am.' He spent the better part of an hour searching for her, before arriving home empty handed to find Hatori and Shigure, drunk on Sake and in no obvious state to talk.

"Just great. I wonder where this leaves us anyway."
