Silk Parlor Boarding House OOC/Casting call

[Henry]

As our walk continued into the garden overlooking the ocean i once again felt a little stirring as this ladies company was exquisite. I heard Silky tell me which rooms and parts of the house i could visit and smiled to myself. The view of the ocean from out here was something to behold so i could understand why she liked to be out here, i would enjoy this too towards evening and early in the morning.

I listen to her words and noticed a little change but thought nothing of it, as she stopped our eyes met and i wondered if it was appropriate to kiss her before settling in.

Moving closer i took her hand and softly kissed her on the lips before i broke it, "Im terribly sorry Silky, you are such exquisite company but would understand if you wished me to leave." I remembered her words and added "I would love to see the rooms, even hinted at one close to hers may be more suitable."

As the words left my mouth i turned away from her slightly as i felt a pang deep within, one that i had not experienced for quite a few years.

Riley

I am more interested in the people who reside here than the building but I listen patiently as she explains the buildings layout and my eyes follow her arms as she points in the directions of the various rooms. For the first time I notice the length of her hair as it cascades over her shoulders and down her back to well below her waist. The morning sun catches in it and it shines like spun gold as she tosses her head from side to side. I can tell she is proud of this place and is happy working here.

"Are you the cook too? I ask noticing that she is wearing a white apron. miss....I look at her hand as she holds my drink out to me and seeing no wedding band assume....

..."Miss... I say again, I don't think you told me your name did you? I laugh trying to hide my forwardness What I mean is I'd like to know more about the people who are here and what they do to entertain themselves and each other.. I laugh that uncomfortable laugh again and tossing back my drink blurt it out. "I've been out at sea too long and need some gentler company than the likes of what I'm used to so if you've the time before lunch to take a walk with me maybe we can get to know each other better.

 

[Silk Parlor]

As I stood there watching him, he moved closer taking my hands leaning down kissing me. Taken back by the sudden kiss I stood there eyes fixed on Henry as he apologized and complemented me that he would understand if I wish him to leave.
Thinking of the kiss as feeling a tingle between my thighs it melted the wall within me the boundaries of my senses .As I hearing him speak of the rooms available to him. I shake my head trying to gain my senses as he turns his back toward me.

“Henry,” Clearing my throat I speak again” Henry, Please it’s quit alright I just wasn’t excepting this.” I turn slightly crimson as my thoughts drift to the pleasures I felt with his kiss.

"Come let use see the rooms you can choose from." Turning I walk toward the back of the house, to where the steps are. I Look back to Henry smiling pleasantly at him as many thoughts of times to come rush threw my mind.

Violet

He asked if I was also the cook. Looking at him with my baby blue eyes I say,
"Yes sir I am the cook here. It's a job but it's also my room and board."

He says you didn't tell me your name did you. Looking at him a little nervously and giggle and say,
"No sir I didn't but it's Violet."

he asked about the people here and what we do for fun.
I say "well it's just me ans miss Silky who live here except for when we have guests."
"We've been open for about three months since miss Silky's father passed."

"For fun we play cards and we listen to miss Silky play the piano and the other instruments."
"When I have spare time I like to take a walk."

"Well actually brunch is already over so dinner is next but if you would like a snack we coiuld get you one. "
"To answer your question I would love to take awlk with you and get to know eachother better before dinner."

Riley

" Violet, I say softly thats a beautiful name and a beautiful flower too, I add. One of my favorites."

'after lunch? I didn't realize... but no I'm not hungry ...at least not for food. What I'm hungry for right now is some gentle companionship. She accepts my proposal for a walk and taking my hand leads me out the back door.

The view is breathtaking and I find myself overwelmed as the salty breeze from the ocean invades my nostrils and the call of the gulls in the air pierce through the crash of the waves agaisnst the rocks. The garden path leads us to an abundance of flowers and shrubs of all shapes and colors. my large hand in her small one feels warm and comfortable.

At the end of the garden there is a short wooden bench and I guide Violet towards it wanting to sit a spell. Moitioning her to sit I see again her blue eyes.. so blue... so deep..deep... so ..

I take her hands in mine. Thank you . Thank you for spending this time with me. I'm not feeling so alone any more. I think I'll enjoy my stay at Silkys.

Violet

I thank Mr. Riley for complmenting me on my name as we are walking through the garden to the bench at the end of the garden.


As Riley and I walk to the bench I look back at miss Silky standing on the stairs glaring at me because I have displeased her.

Looking at Mr. Riley I excuse myself and say ,
"Pardon me I have to go and see miss Silky."

I walk back to the stairs right out the back door and see why miss silky was glaring at me.

 

[Silk Parlor]

As I watch seeing Henry I turn and see Violet and a young man walk out the back door then right past me to the garden where Henry still stood. I Look to Violet with a Glare at her. Trying to figure out who the young man was. She knows the rules then walks out right past ingoring me. Shanking my head as I turn and walk to the back door stepping in side as I wait for Henry.

 

[Henry]

I watched Silky's face turn a little crimson from the kiss then i heard her words, watching her move i to the step i thought about times ahead.

I was standing there watching her when i noticed the other woman walking my way closely followed a man, who he was only time may tell i thought to myself. As i looked at Silky i noticed a glare directed at the woman and i mused one tough cookie.

Walking over to her i let her arm link with mine as we climbed the stairs for her to show me the rooms.

 

[Silk Parlor]

I shall deal with Violet soon enough I say in my thoughts.

As we reach the top of the stairs, 3 rooms to the right three rooms to the left and a door at the end of the hall way.

"The door at the end is my chambers, You shall have your pick of the one you wish. " I smiles pleasently as we make our way to the door cloest to mine which was on the left.
I open it slowly then stand back as I let Henry pass and go in.

"What do you think? It has the best view of the ocean other then mine." I say as I walk in to the window pausong to look out.

 

[Henry]

Reaching the top of the stairs i notice 3 rooms to the right and 3 rooms to the left and a door at the end of the hallway......... I hear Silky tell me the door leads to her room before opening the door on the left closest to hers. Entering the room i look around and take it all in, quite comfortable and cozy with a large window to overlook the garden and sea i muse. Silky walks past me over to the window and look out. Wanting a better view of the sea i cross the floor and stand near Silky letting my hand lightly touch her shoulder first before moving to the other shoulder. The view is to die for and her company is something else as well.

"I shall take this room" i said before moving closer and turning Silky's face. It may have been wrong before but would she mind now. Taking her face in my hands i claimed her lips with mine and let my tongue slip inside and dance with her tongue as my hands move to lightly hold her waist.

Riley

Seeing a woman in the doorway glaring at Violet I get up. Perhaps her glare was intended for me. Maybe I had done something wrong . Was I taking her help away from her duties? Maybe an apology to her is in order. I follow Violet towards the house, Then I see the woman disappear inside with what appears to be a guest. As I come near Violet I say with genuine concern.

"I'm sorry Violet, this is my fault I'll go to the sitting room and wait for her."

I motion towards the woman at the top of the staircase with a gentlman by her side.

 

[Silk Parlor]

As I stood looking out the window thinking of the young man trying to get my attention while I was showing Henry around, He shall have to wait till I am finished. As I felt him move behind me then place his hands on my shoulders. We look over the ocean for a time then he turns me to face him as he lower to clam my lips once more in a heated passionate kiss as his tongue begins to dance with mine. Losing my self with in our kiss I step back. In a soft whisper “That’s good I shall leave you to gather your belongings I have a young lady to tend to down stairs.” I walk to the door Pausing as I turn looking back into his eyes. “I look forward to your staying here. I shall see you around dinner time with is after sun set.” I smile sweetly as I turn and walk out of the room closing the door behind me.

Leaning up against the door I fan my self rapidity to cool off the heat he caused deep with in me.

Standing straight up gaining composure I walk to the stairs then descending them to the parlor. I open the door and walk to the bar and pour myself a glass of water. Walking back to the door in a calming tone; “Violet Please grace’s me with your presence And Oh yes Bring the young man with you...” I turn and walk to my desk awaiting her arrival...

Violet

As I walk back to the house I notice Miss Silky and Mr. Hill walk into the house as I noticed Mr. Riley approach behind me.

As he spoke in a concerned voice apologizing if he had gotten me into trouble. I reply in a calm voice "no its nothing you have done I should have known better she has to approve who comes in the house also if I need time away so she can prepare or take over my duties."

As we walk into the house into the sitting room I notice him waving down Miss Silky as she entered the room. As we sit I offer him a drink when I hear Miss Silky calling me to the parlor and bring Mr. Riley with me.

Standing I walk to the door with Mr. Riley behind me as we cross the foyer to the parlor we enter I see Miss silky sitting at her desk.

"You called for me Miss Silky."

 

[Henry]

I feel and watch Silky step back from the kiss, her whispered words float across the air towards me. Silky moves towards the door before turning and meeting my eyes with her own. Speaking again of seeing me again and saying that dinner will be served after sunset. Look at my timepiece and notice i have quite awhile to wait until then after i watch Silky smile before leaving and closing the door.

I hear footsteps head away from the door and reaching into my jacket pocket i pull out a cigarette and lighter, lighting it i open the window a small way and breathe in the sweet smell of the ocean. The combined effects of that and Silky's perfume still lingering i close my eyes briefly as my mind goes over what has just taken place.

Closing the window i step away from it and walking across to the door open it, leave and closing the door behind me head towards the stairs. Descending them i walk down the hallway and to the front door. Stepping out into the street i walk across the street and through a park on my way to collect my few belongings. Looking at my timepiece i still muse i have a few hours to myself.

Stopping in the park i breathe in the sweet smell and listen to the birds chirping in the trees. Picking up my suitcase and tools i walk towards the beach and sit down to take in its beauty. Time passes before i stand and walk back towards the house.

Entering the house i ascend the stairs, going to my room i open the door step inside and close the door before starting to unpack. Opening the window i let the sea waft into the room as i remove my jacket and sit on the bed.

 

[Silk Parlor]

“Yes come in here Violet, Sir please sit” Glancing to the man. “I shall speak with you in a moment.” Turning to look at Violet I stand and walk to the window staring out.
“Violet dear you know I have no trouble with your having a personal life. You do how ever work for me. When you had passed me out on the steps why did you not speak or of all things not introducing the young man to me. How am I supposed to take it? You have been with me and my family many years, I wish you not to lose you way. How much longer before dinner is ready or haven’t you started it yet? I do pay you a fare salary along with room and board. Does this not please you dear to have common courtesy for your Job or me? Go stand by the door till I am ready to go with you to the kitchen.”
“Now Young man, who might you be? What is your business here? I don’t believe your Violets Love, for I would have known by now... This is my home and place of business. I do respect my tenets and my employee’s personal relationship; it does how ever become my business when they are on duty and tend to ignore me and not introduce me to guests. If she wanted time she knows I would have given it to her when asked.”
I turn looking back out the ocean. “Violet Mr. Hill shall be staying with use for an undecided amount of time. Please make sure you set two other places at the dinner table. After Dinner please come to my chambers. We shall discuss this more.”
“Young man at the top of the steps to your right shall be your room. Please be ready to answer my questions at dinner. I have things to do before dinner as well as Violet. If you shall need anything Violet shall do as you wish after she helps me with dinner. That’s all I have to say, so if you will pardon me I need to check on the other guest.”
I turn walking to the door pausing I look to Violet. “See he gets settled understand?” I walk out the door heading up the stairs to Mr. Hill’s room.
Standing out side his door: tap tap tap.

 

[Henry]

Moving from the bed i stood and started to unpack the suitcase. Sliding the box of tools underneath the bed i was just standing at the window looking out enjoying the sea view when i heard a knock at the door. Walking across towards the door wondered who it may be and what this visit may involve.......Reaching the door i opened it and seeing Silky standing the otherside stepped away letting her enter.

"Please do come in" i'm just finishing up getting myself settled in.

 

[Silk Parlor]

As I hear him come to the door then opening it our eyes met as he asked me in. I walk in slowly: " You find everything you need Henry? Is there anything more I may get you?" I turn and face him smiling.

" I will be going to start dinner now and was wondering if you needed anything. Oh yes and also, " I turn away from him.

" Why have you kissed me, not once but twice. It was very nice thank you. Also there is another guest. I will speak with him at dinner. I do beleive Violet took a fancy to him so I will have her tend to his needs, so she will not beable to do for you, I shall do it for the time being if thats alright. My room is next to yours." I walk to a tapestry hanging on the wall beside the door.
" If for any reason you shall need me at night. I always have my chamber doors locked. You may enter this way." I pull the tapestry back reveling a door.
I walk to the door Look back to him smiling. " I must go start dinner if you will pardon me." I reach for the handle opening the door. "I will be in the Parlor for drinks in about one and a half hour if you like to join." Walking out descending the stairs and head to the kitchen.

Entering the kitchen I walk and get an apron wrapping it about my waist as I go about cooking dinner. I walk to the cellar door and go down walking to the wine wrack and get a bottle of white wine then headed back up to the kitchen. As everything was cooking I look out the back window see it was about that time.

 

[Henry]

"I found everything i needed to for this point in time and no there is nothing needed by me."

Hearing her mention that she was going to start on dinner i hadnt realised the time was moving so quickly.

Also she spoke of the kisses and i looked a little confused and even sheepishly before averting my eyes, Another guest must have been the other man i saw wondering around the house with the younger woman whose name was Violet. Having looked around the room i had seen the tapestry but not looked closely, maybe i should have as i watched Silky move it aside to show access to her room if i may need it at night.

As Silky leaves me i hear her mentioning being in the parlor for drinks if i would like to join her. Going back to my unpacking i decided a change of clothes may be appropriate as well. Taking my time i pulled out a white shirt and black trousers which i soon put on ready to go downstairs.

Checking my timepiece i noticed it was getting closer and opening the door and closing it after i stepped out and descended the stairs and made my way across to the parlor. Knocking on the door i waited for a response as the invitation to join Silky for drinks had been offered and it would be a good way to get to know her better.

Violet

Looking at Miss silky as she says come in hre Violet.
"Yes maam."

Turning to look at Mr.Riley and turning back to Miss Silky with her being upset with me for ignoring her and not introducing her to Mr. Riley,
"I'm sorr Miss Silky."

Listening to Miss Silky as she repremands me in front of Mr. Rileyfor ignoring her and walking past her not even introducing het to a guest in her home,
"Miss Silky I assume you take it badly as I would."

Nervous about getting repremanded even worse with Miss Silky asking me if dinner was started I said,
"Since Mr. Riley has been here I haven't started it yet."

"No Miss Silky my salary does not displease me I am very grateful for it and for my room and board as well."
"From now on I will be more courteous by acknowledging you when pasiing you and introducing you to guests who come into your house."

walking to the door as Miss Silky told me to I say'"yes maam."

Looking at Miss Silky her telling me to come to her chambers after dinner I say
"Yes maam."



Acknowledging Miss Silky as she pauseing looking at me telling me to make sure Mr. Riley gets settled.
"Yes Miss Silky."

 

[Silk Parlor]

As I finished cooking making sure everything was ready for dinner. I make my way to the Dinning hall where I set the table for our guests, Violet and myself. Placing the wine on ice then turning making sure all is ready I turn leaving the dinning hall moving toward the stairs.

Ascending the stairs to the second floor walking to my room slowly I open the door going in. Walking to the wash base I wash up for dinner, going to my armoire getting out my Black silken dress with the gold design. Striping down to my under cloths then putting on the Black gown. Checking myself in the mirror I walk to the door going out closing it behind me.

Walking to the stairs where I descend then go to the parlor. I walk to the bar and pour a red wine in one of the glasses. Walking to the bay window looking out when I heard a knock at the door.

“Please come in.” saying in a soften voice as I look out the window. “Mr. Hill, I mean Henry good to see you join me. May I get you a drink?” I turn and walk to the bar as I make eye contact smiling softly toward him.

Riley

Again I am sorry , I say as Miss Silky walks away leaving Violet and me alone. "Sorry that I distracted you from your duties and also for not being aware of the protocall here. It should have been obvious to me that I talk to Miss sily before wandering off to enjoy her gardens "

I look in Violets blue eyes and see that she is concerned. That she wants to please those around her, that there is much passion and caring for others in her heart. Most of all I can see that she loves Miss Silky very much and would do nothing to hurt her.

"Violet, I say looking in her blue eyes, forget about my needs for the time being and do what you need to do to make things right with miss Silky. Show me to my room as she instructed and then we'll meet perhaps for drinks before dinner.

Following her to my room I notice again how the sunlight passes through her beautiful hair accentuating every delightful movement she makes as she assends the stairs.

How lucky I am to have this beautiful creature attend to my needs here at Silk parlor boarding House.

Violet

Looking at Mr. Riley when he apologizes to me for taking from my duties.
"It's ok I should know better."

Listening to Mr. riley as he says to me not to worry about his needs and od whatever I need to to make things right between me and Miss Silky. Looking at him as he says maybe we can together for a drink before dinner.
"Maybe but for now I can tend to any needs of yours."

 

[Henry]

Entering the parlor i noticed Silky near the window before she turned and our eyes met.

"A glass of rum would be nice please" I responded as i walked across the floor towards the chair i had sat in earlier.

Nerves raced and so did my mind, this was her house and i didnt really know what to do. "A lovely view of the ocean" as i made my way across to the window and looked out.

 

[Silk Parlor]

As I stood at the bar pouring a rum for Henry “Coming right up.” I say softly. As I walk to the window I hand it to him then look out over the ocean.
“Yes it is, it has been many of past times for me.” I stand close to Henry noticing his is much taller then me. “I hoe you feel comfortable here, my home is yours until you wish to leave. So please feel free to roam where you wish.” I glance up in to his magnificent eyes.

Raising my glass I sip my wine slowly as I watch the sun seeing it will be a short time before it will set. “Is there anything you would like to ask me?”

 

[Henry]

Taking the glass from Silky i feel the softness of her skin....... Looking out the window i am aware of her looking at me and turning our eyes meet briefly. Imbibing the rum i take in the magnificent splendour before my eyes and want a cigarette think it is wrong to at this point in time.

"Silky not so much a question but that i do smoke, if that is a problem pls let me know."

My gaze turns back to the window as i slowly drink the rum, time seems to be standing still for us.
