Just a suggestion.

Are you trying to get the picture under your name or in your signature line? If under your name (like my picture), then you need to go to the Stories page, log-in (top right corner), and select edit profile. Then where it asks for your location, type:

<img~src="http://angiegirl.homestead.com/files/angie_snake1.jpg">

But replace the ~ with a space.

If you want it in your signature line, then same procedure, just under signature.

If you quote my post here, you should see in the YOUR REPLY box how it should be worded (I think). You had a colon wrong in the address and were using the wrong type of brackets: < when it should be [

She's right, hon. Basically, you had everything right. The only thing you were missing was the = sign just after the word " img src ". There has to be that = sign between that and the quotation marks for your address.

You also needed to close your address with another > sign just after the last quotation marks. If you do that, you should be fine. If you need anything, let me know.

A few more things to consider

This is important: Triple check your spelling. One character error will throw off the whole sha-bang. Go back to your homepage and double check the properties, to make double sure that you are putting it down right. Also, make sure to space your qoute at least one space, it not more, from your address or it won't work.... It reads it as one long address, when the address should end with the >

So far Mishka has it laid out the closest that it comes without actually bringing the image up.

You're probably losing it right now, I know, so take a deep breath and try again...

Here it is for posterity's sake:

Minus the ~ and just leave a space there.

Double check your spelling on properties, and make sure you really have it all right. It took me 8 trys to get my lady up. Good luck!
