I just switched BC options for the third time (was on the Pill, then Depo) and am now trying out Nuva Ring.I'm now on day 2 of it and it seems okay, but I'm still not comfortable with sex now physically due to the side effects of Depo drying me out and basically killing my sex drive. I don't like being forcibly celibate either, nor does the boyfriend. Is there any kind of hypoallergenic lube I can try until my natural lubrication (that isn't blood for once) builds back up?

We used to use something called Silky Stuff. I think you'd want the kind without the spermacide. Seems to me it said hypoallergenic on the bottle. Came in a handy bottle with a pump on top. Sorry I don't know where we got it. It was so close to her natural lube it was weird almost.

We LOVE this . I'm really sensitive to lubes and it's perfect, a multitasker (great for massage, shaving and moisturizing, plus I put a few drops on tampons or my Instead cup to combat period dryness), lasts forever, works underwater, and less expensive than most water-based lubes. I wish I'd had it when I was on the Pill.

Hope you love Nuva as much as I do. Have you visited their web site? Nice little program dowloaded to my desktop reminds me when to put it in and when it's time to take it out..

I haven't checked out the site yet. I tried having sex with the ring in...didn't feel the ring interfere with anything. I guess the manufacturers weren't kidding about it molding to the canal's shape. I've only had some mild stomach discomfort, which I can deal with.
