Watching the Flat Liner morph into a pseudo-medieval knight, a thought comes to my mind- *This asshole has a flair for the ridiculous!* Cowboy, tiger, swordsman... perhaps he really enjoyed playing dress-up in his last life? Heh, heh.... More likely, he is running scared, grasping at any straw his feeble mind offers him. I should kill him now, but he is too entertaining to waste so quickly. Why not have some fun first?

While the Flat Liner expresses his misplaced bravado to the girl, I reach inward, altering my manifestation... I am now a creature straight out of fantasy - a giant green dragon that towers effortlessly over the highest trees. I roar, the force of which shakes the very ground on which we stand. It's the little things like that which make mundane kills truly enjoyable. Ah yes, kills... I open my jaws wide, showering the fools with crimson flames.

My Knight in Shining Armor vs The Dragon of Shadow

Seeing the knight step in front of her, Isabel takes the moment to collect herself and draw herself up to her feet. "Thank you, m'lord," she replies to the armored figure before her. With wide eyes, Isabel watches in horror as the shadowy man becomes a shadowy knight. As the green, fire-breathing dragon opens his mouth and roars, Isabel narrows her eyes and puts a hand to her brow, as if trying to shade her eyes from the sun.

Dreamstalker

OOC: Good question. I guess since sleeping is a biological function, and we dream folks have no physical bodies, we probably never dream. Our entire existance IS the dream...

IC:The song. The goddamned song again! As the pain ripples through me, I momentarily consider singing the second verse...That might shut him up for a while! Give the fool a taste of his own medecine, indeed. Make him suffer! I reject the idea almost as soon as I think of it. I don't want to destroy the fool...not yet. For now, he is much more valuebale alive. I must learn the source of his song first, how it channels such destructive powers. "We will meet again, you little bastards. Do not for a moment believe this is over." I let the wind carry my voice as I fade into the shadows and out of the dream. I will watch from the distance, and I will learn... Then I will kill.

OOC: Sorry guys, but some urgent business forces me to leave town for a week. You can assume I'll be watching from the shadows, so keep the dream going. Can't wait to see what you've got when I get back!

A song.. a song will save the world.

Isabel watches the interplay, her lips pursed in thought. 'music...' the sole thought flicks through her mind, to store to later. She turns to the knight...cowboy...tiger...thing? "My thanks, stranger." Her voice is soft, melodious, neither high and squeaky, nor deep and rumbling.

Lullabye

" It was No Problem " i said withn a smile. You know my powers weekan when the monster takes a rest Im Stuck in this Dream I look at the woman Im with Aleast I'm Stuck with her. I Smile As i Cause the foreast to Rebuild and re growe " Shall we See where this Dream gose."

Where Dreams May Wander...

Isabel smiles at the stranger, before nodding, and looking around, "So, it /is/ a dream." Her voice... she sounds neither surprised nor relieved. Like she was expecting this surprise. She extends her hand, and nods quickly, "I'm Isabel. What's your name?"

Lullabye

" My name? Well The Dream Stalker calls Me Lullabye That is my name Now. That is What I am now A soothing dream." The Walked Together. He Drew A breth A Consetrated To cause the Sky to turn to Night A Romatic Full Moon And Breautifull Sparkling stars filled it . He Smiled At Her

What's in a name?

"Lullabye," Isabel entones to herself, her voice thoughtful. She opens her mouth to ask a question, when the star-filled night sky catches her attention. Her mouth stays open in a soft gasp of wonder. Reflecting in her soft eyes, the stars twinkle brightly, dancing merrily in their sea of soft deep blue. A smile spreads over her face and she giggles, turning to glance at Lullabye before stepping away to enjoy the sight of the night sky above.

OOC: Sorry about that. Connection troubles. I might be on and off for a while now, but I'll try my best. I'll just start out again, still as the same character, if that's ok with everyone?

IC: I woke up. I had only been asleep a little while, but something had awakened me. I thought of my travels in my dreams and other peoples' dreams, and yet... Not in one of them had I encountered something like her.

There had been beautiful women, but I had always managed to brush off the memory of them. She...She was something different. Absolutely pure. I wondered if I would see her again. I closed my eyes and let Morpheus guide me into the light...

Lullabye

He looked her as she gazzed at his sky " Beautifull isnt it, And It don't even Come Close to matching yours." His Eyes shimmerd as he looked at her.

Sky Eyes.

Isabel blinks a moment at Lullabye's complement. She drops her eyes from the twinkling stars to laugh, not coy, not with a wink, just a laugh of... what? I'm not sure. She looks around the forest, "Well... now what?"

Lullabye

" I don't Know Ma'Lady Tis your dream I Am but A part of it." He gazzed at the butifull woman .

Isabel blinks lightly. 'My... Dream,' she thinks to herself? She looks around the once-again-lush forest. She inhales slowly, as she ponders, looking around for something to do. 'I've got control here. I've never done that before. Better keep it realistic, or I might get lost.' She turns to move down a road that wasn't there before. "Let's see where this road takes us."

OOC: Yes, this is an open RP. Everyone is welcome to pop in and stay as long as you want! Let's get some action going! =)

Dreamstalker

A speck of darkness in an endless sea of illusion, I surf the DreamScape, all the while focusing my attention on the forest dream. I am begining to understand how the Song works - it is based more on the pitch then on the actual words. The fool projects his voice in a manner which interferes with the DreamScape, dissassembling it at its source... Interesting. Soon, I will be able to wield this strange weapon in the Hunt. The fool doesn't know it yet, but his life is losing its worth by the second...

I feel a painful emptiness well up inside me. Shit, seems like I haven't been taking good care of myself lately. Luckily for me, there's some prey closeby. An old granny, Italian by the looks of her, she's having a nightmare in which she flees an invisible foe. I sieze the opening, popping into her dream. She's on the verge of awakening - I must be very careful. Assuming the form of her long-dead daughter, I step into her path. Fooled, she stops, yells something I can't make out, and runs toward me with open arms. As she tries to hug me, I turn my arms into blades, and with a single cross-cut relieve her of her head. Bingo! I sink my fangs into the cranium, drinking in all of her psyche. Her mind-force recharges me, but it won't last for long...Letting the dream crumble behind me, I go back to the Hunt.

Chase Meridian

"I'm back" I thought. Something hard hit me at incredible an incredible speed. "Ugh. And so is the DreamStalker"
We both pushed ourselves off the ground simultaneously, and flying, we put over forty feet of distance between ourselves. He was crouching on a branch. So was I. He smiled at me and I watched has his hands shifted into chainsaws. I smiled and pulled out Archangel, my sword. It was glowing, as it always did when nightmares were around. I'd be alright, so long as I didn't let him find out my one fear...

Dreamstalker

A silent hunter stalking his prey, I float in the nothingness just beyond the dream. Thousands of years in the Hunt have honed my senses to superhuman proportions. A small corner of my mind detects the approaching DreamHopper while he is still out of the range of vision. Immediately, I recognize him - the man from before! It seems like luck is with me tonight. Mentally tracking him through the DreamScape, I can't shake the feeling that I've encountered him before... Of course, a DreamHopper can take any shape he wishes, so I can't tell for sure. Only one way to find out.

As he glides closer, still oblivious to my presence, I disrupt the net under him, dumping him back into the dream. Now I have nim right where I want him. I dive into the dream, materializing on a branch nearby. The man raises himself off the ground, bringing a strange sword into view. No telling what kind of powers this mortal has. I keep my distance, trying to see through the illusion, searching for weaknesses...

Chase Meridian

My mind exploded with the impact of the DreamStalker's probing. I was reeling, but I reinforced my fears with the mental equivalent of a steel wall. I watched him stagger off his perch and plummet to the ground below. His fall was cushioned by the greenery of the forest.

Dreamstalker

The sudden mental shock loosens my grip on the dream for a millesecond, causing me to dissolve through the branches. I regain a hold instantly, twisting through the air and landing on my feet. This mortal is powerful indeed. Still, I was able to sense a terrible fear in him before he raised the mental wall. Excellent. I will exploit this weakness...his death will perlenish my dwindling reserves of psyche. First, let's keep him offguard - I send my mind racing forward, delivering a mental blow that knocks him back 50 feet, smashing through tree trunks and various bushes.

Chase Meridian

The blow was crushing. I'd have to beef myself up a little bit. Concentrating, I managed to recover something from the Dreamer's memory. It was massive bodysuit, it looked mechanical, although it also seemed to be made of stone. It was probably something she imagined while reading a fantasy novel.
The next moment it was on me. Although it seemed to be immensely powerful, it also seemed to be incredibly light, making all movement as free and fluid as possible. There wasn't anything to protect me from the mental blows though, and they were harsh, considering the Nightmare was pure, psychic energy. It would shield me form most of the physical damage though...
Getting up, I raised my sword into the air. For a moment, the air around the blade was just a blue haze, as though some kind of energy, then, pointing it directly at the DreamStalker I released a powerful Aura Bolt. He disappeared, hidden in the clouds of dust that had arisen during our battle. Maybe I'd finished him -
The wave of rocks hit me, making a rattling noise on the bodysuit, but I remained relatively unscathed.
A figure was emerging from the dust-clouds. It looked different...
Oh, no. The DreamStalker had discovered my one secret: I was arachnaphobic (is that even how you spell it?)...

Oh no... not again!

The serenity of the forest is broken when fighting begins again. Isabel gasps and, perhaps not with the best common-sense, runs in the direction of the fight.

Dreamstalker

My ploy has worked. As the mortal was thrown backward, he let his defenses slip just a bit... Enough for me to sense his greatest fear. Stupid of him, very stupid. Let your guard down in the DreamScape, and you are fucked. Now, he's fucked.

Allowing myself to be enveloped in a cloud of dust, I easily dodge his attack. The bolt strikes nowhere near me, causing a minor earthquake that does more harm to him than to me. Stupid, stupid, stupid... Emerging from the dustcloud, I have already altered my form to better suit his fears. He stares in horror as a hairy black tarantula the size of a minivan materializes before him. Paralyzed by fear, he can only watch helplessly as I snatch away his sword and shatter it in my hairy jaws. Then, oozing green venom, I triumphantly move in for the kill...

OOC: Whatever happened to mutual respect in RPGs? Remember you can't kill someone else's character, and shattering my sword wasn't such a great move, so I'll pretend you didn't. The reason for this is that the sword is directly linked to my character and his storyline, get my drift? Anyway, we'll carry on...

OOC: What the hell? I don't recall killing you. "Moving in for the kill" means exaxtly that - MOVING in. Not KILLING. This is a dream - ressurect your sword if you so wish. Pull a new one out. Reverse time. You have infinite options, but you're just going to ignore the story?!? Respect? You're the one that started writing for my character in the first place (8 posts back). Remember, hypocricy generally tends to weaken your argument.
