Taylor Madison stood in front of the mirror, wondering which bikini to wear. Already a week into her Sophomore Year, she had started the difficult chore of putting together a house rush party at the home of one of the guys in the fraternity assigned to cooperate with them during rush festivities. She had been given the assignment by Sabra, the girl who currently served as the rush chair for the Delta Delta Delta house. She hoped there would be a good turnout, and she hoped that the girls they wanted to sign all showed up.

A year ago, she had been 18, just on campus, unsure of her place in the world. Her brother, a sophomore himself at the time, helped her move in the dorms, but otherwise proceeded to keep to himself as she made a point of finding her own friends. Joining the sorority had been a no brainer for her. It seemed a sure way to meet a guy, preferably one that would go to medical school or law school, and it provided plenty of opportunity to party and avoid responsibility, which she favored over joining the workforce. In high school, she had excelled at track and was on the pom squad. Her GPA was less than desirable, and she practically had to scratch and claw, taking the ACT three times before scoring high enough to get accepted. Her brother had teased her mercilessly. He was no genius, but he had not struggled, and found her struggles amusing.

"Let's go," Sabra shouted from downstairs. Taylor settled on the white bikini with green strings that she had on, and quickly pulled on a pair of white shorts and a small, black tee shirt, and some red Keds tennis shoes.

"Coming!" she shouted as she bounded down the stairs. Once they arrived, the party began to fill out nicely, and the girls mingled, easily speaking with the potential pledges in both the men's and the women's house. Taylor felt some serious chemistry with a new boy at the party, a guy named Caleb, who was a Sophomore himself, but new to this campus. At the same time, she had spent all summer wondering if Jacob, one of the boys from Lambda Chi, who was co-hosting the party, would be single when school started. She decided immediately to keep her options open. It was the first week, and nothing long term needed to be decided. Her business tonight was to simply attend a party.

Moments after 10pm, Taylor climbed from the pool and dried off. After talking with several girl friends a few moments, she took a picture with Sabra, before heading inside to find a drink at the bar. Though she was under 21, a few bats of her eyes always worked at these parties, and she felt certain nobody would ask for any ID. While waiting for a keg to be re-attached, she noticed some commotion at the door as a few new party-goers came in. She crossed her arms and smirked when she saw who came in.

"My brother is here," she told Sabra, standing in line beside her. "Great."
