I love how everyone attacks him for "outing" these fakers, instead of attacking the actual fakers themselves. I remember how pissed I was at my older brother when he told me Santa Claus was fake, so I feel your pain.

Attacking the Fakers

Jester and I have had a good back and forth about how "abusive" we should be with the fakers and spam-bags. Because there is a "herd mentality" on the internet in general, I prefer to out these guys with a "I think your are a spammer (or whatever), what do you have to say for yourself" rather than attacking agressively. This usually gets the job done in 99% of the cases.

Agressiveness only provokes overreaction among other folks which poisons the entire atmosphere, ala the Clio thread. Lit is all about respect for the posters, even the purveyors of garbage.

I am not going there. All I know is that there is some question about what is being posted and I refuse to speculate any further. Someone else may have the technical chops to uncover a name or an address. Until they come forward to say something about sosowett and clio, I am not going there.

I jumped the gun and misread your statement. My apologies.

I can't really say I agree or disagree since I didn't PM either of them, but I can say that I wouldn't be surprised if they are all the same spammer.
