Space Marines OOC

"Apone, we can't have any firing down there, I want you to collect magazines from everyone"

"What the hell are we supposed to use, man, harsh language?"

Michelle "Doc" Sidney
25
Female
First Lt., corpsman, not in the chain of command

Her rank reflects the fact that she was educated at Harvard Medical, where no one could have predicted willowy, elegant Michelle would join the Marines, of all things. She has staight black hair, bright blue eyes, high cheekbones and a gentle, aristocratic bearing. She is also far tougher than she looks. Many in her training class kept waiting for the day when "Princess" would drop out, but they learned that she rarely complained, and was more than adept with martial arts, easily laying out men far larger than her. It is easy to underestimate her, as she is generally quietly lighthearted, and has an air of aloofness about her.

She is a brilliant physician, and no one has been able to get a straight answer from her as to why she insists on being sent out as a corpsman wen she could insist on a cush spot with a military hospital or being making money hand over fist in private practice. When someone asks she smiles her trademark grin and changes the subject.

Her gear is extensive, almost half her weight when loaded to her preferred beginning of a mission level. She does carry a pulse rifle and a pistol, but she only packs extra ammunition for the pistol, and not much of that. If its so bad she can't get extra ammo from one of the other members of the team, she probably has duties to attend to. Everything else in her pack and multitude of pockets turns her into a walking trama ward.

(I *love* how none of us are stepping into the leader spot, its one big game of 'Not It'. If it keeps up I vote we say our leader died and follow Boom-Boom.)

Hey yeah! Now that you mention it...

I agree. The leader should be the one with the most combat experience. Or highest rank

I'll leave it to you guys...if you wnt me to take a swat at it with Boom Boom I'll do it...otherwise I'm happy just playing in the Story

Well, I could try my hand at being the leader of the team. Whatca think?

Name: Lucy "Zero" Parker
Age: 24
Female
Rank: Captain
Position: Pilot and Heavy Weapons Specialist

Lucy grew up in a family as a 'Marine Brat', so it was only natural for her to continue in her parents footsteps in joining the USMC. Since her parents were officers, they were able to get her into the officers ranks, starting her training at 20. Even though it wasn't nesscary for her as an officer, she took up vehicle training on the M577 APC and the combat Exosuit. She will use the M-56 Smart gun from time to time, inaddition to carrying a pulse rifle and the M-4a4 pistol as back up, with a couple of spare clips for the two.

Though she can pretty nice to her subordinates, she earned the nickname of "Zero" because she kept her calm and an emotionless state under fire during missions.

On a sidenote, I was curious as to what sort of scenario we would be doing. Would it be someplace off Earth, or maybe on Earth?

Well my original thought was that Delta 34 was sent to a remote location in space, very much like LV-24. The research facility here has failed to report in for quite some time and now people are starting to worry. There are no reports of hostiles and there shouldn't be any alien presence according to the info on the planet. however these are not always correct ;)

Zero is fine for a leader for me.

However we still need one more female char, or should we jsut start? What do you say?

As long as I'm not the leader, I'm all good.

And has anyone posted in the "Threads Looking for Players" bit for the final female?

I'd like to play the last girl, I'm just really busy this week, and I'll be out for 10 days starting in a week, so I don't know if it'll work out. Maybe I could just be the first one to get eaten? :)

*grins* well i don't know what the others think, but actually i could be cool to have a person die for once... *shrugs*

What do you guys say?

Alright, so post-Aliens then? Depending on how far in the future, the Colonial Marines would be aware of the existence of the xenomorphs. If it's another colonial world the xenomorphs would likely have arrived through another derelict spacecraft crash landing, just like on LV-426. Bear in mind that Weyland-Yutani is still a bunch of rat bastards, and we can't rule out that we may have just been sent as bait to lure one of these things in.

Yup something like that ;)

Well i'll start the thread now, look for the thread Aliens.

Let's not rush to eat Tanuki just yet!

I guess I am Maria:

Name: Maria Velasquez
Age: 22
Height/weight: 5' 6", 115 lbs
Female
Rank: Corporal
Position: Interpreter/Rifleman

In the Marine Corps boot camp, Maria showed exceptional language skills, and was selected for the Corps' Xeno Language school. Now on her first tour, she is looking forward to putting her skills to work. Assigned to an infantry platoon, she carries the M41-A pulse rifle and body armor, as well as the Corporation's latest interpreting equipment, a small hand-carried computer capable of interpreting any of the known languages in the Archives.
