I wish I had read this thread earlier. I was going to respond with "You got schooled!" I figured Milkfountain would have a field day with that one. Some people take Chyoo and Lit a little too serious. I understand being anal when it comes to the newspaper or other print media... but this is Chyoo. It's suppose to be entertaining and fun.

I also agree with Imhotep's original intent. A little spell check and proof reading never hurt anybody.

And the iespell checker works really well. If you have it installed on your browser you just click it and it will spell check all the text input fields. So it works great for e-mails and other things.

Also, Paragraphs please. I hate it when I'm getting into a story and all of a sudden I click an option and all I see is one big paragraph. It confuses the everliving shit outta me

I know I’m resurrecting an old thread here but…

I think it’s fair to say, check your own work. I too write everything in MS Word before posting, but I hate it the most when you read over something you wrote months ago and realize that there are still a few errors in it. I would hate to think readers got caught up in the mistakes and got turned off my story. As for syntax… well I don’t have the best, so I’ll steer clear of that part of the conversation. I do space out lines of conversation though which I think helps...

Oh and MilkFountain sounded like a pompous ass, speak Portuguese too buddy? Cale sua boca.

There have been a few times when you have to doubt the spell check. People also need to make sure they use the right words i.e. The Main Mane in the state of Maine.
