For those who do not know, The Charlotte North Carolina area is the center of the NASCAR racing world. Eight percent of all the race shops are located within a 60 mile radius of Charlotte North Carolina. For anyone interested we will be taking a field trip to The Lowe's Motor Speedway for a visit to the track and depending on the tracks activities that day possibly a chance to see some practice for the upcoming race. We will also be visiting Hendrick Motorsports race shop and museum www.hendrickmotorsports.com . This trip will include a chance to see where The race cars of Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Brian Vickers, and Kyle Busch are built as well as a museum of past accomplishments for this dynamic organization. Gift shops are located at each place and there should not be any cost involved unless you decide to purchase a souvenir. Travel from the hotel is approx 20 minutes and the entire trip should only take about an hour and a half.
