Star Wars - Smuggler's Moon (For CdW)

Rogan

I breathed a quiet sigh of relief as Crucidius withdrew the blaster from Li'Anah's throat, likewise removing the weapon pointed at my temple. Li'Anah glared at me and I responded with my "but what can I do?" look, which didn't exactly seem to placate her. Geez, women! You get them shot one time and do they ever let you forget it!?

"You're a smart man Crucidius, I like that." I said. "We can all be rich if we work together."

Yeah right, real smart, the way he was underestimating Li'Anah and her many talents. Just give her an opportunity and he'd soon discover how deadly her fists and especially her feet could be. I'd certainly found out the hard way on more than one occasion, my nose and kidneys throbbing sympathetically at the thought.

"Okay, lets go..."

Li'Anah

Taking a cue from Rogan, I didn't slam my elbow into Crucidius' nose. Certainly a little of the bastard's blood would have been nice, but if Rogan was willing to let it pass, I would make an effort.
But, not trusting the stranger either, we shadow danced for a moment, neither wanting the other to walk behind them. We settled for walking side by side, my hand going instinctively to the blade concealed along my thigh.

Rogan

I was still wary of Crucidius; he'd put those blasters away too easy for my liking. I was sure he had some trick up his sleeve, I just didn't know what. Okay, we'd play along for now, but the first opportunity we got...

After a little jockeying for position by Li'Anah and Crucidius, we set off into the almost deserted street, walking side by side with me slightly ahead of the others. As we were two levels down from the very top of the city, the lighting built into the ceiling, only partially functioning in places, cast many shadows in the corridors and alleyways that ran between buildings.

...

As Rogan, Li'Anah and Crucidius left, from out of the shadows behind them stepped a short slightly-built figure, concealed in a dark hooded cloak. The figure watched the trio moving off down the street for several seconds, before pulling back it's hood to reveal a narrow reptilian head, it's mustard yellow scales contrasting with the black diamond-shaped markings running along the top of it's head and down the back of it's long wiry neck. It looked around quickly, glassy black eyes blinking nervously as it scanned the surrounding area. It opened it's large jaws, lined with short pointed teeth, and a long pink tongue flicked out, seeming to taste the recycled air around it. Pulling back the sleeve off one slender arm, the figure spoke rapidly in a clipped language into the compact communicator strapped to it's wrist. A brief response came back in the same language, and seemingly satisfied, the reptilian creature pulled the hood back up over it's head. Darting back into the shadows, with a flick of it's short tail it set off in pursuit of it's prey...

OOC: Character: Sha-Loh-Taan, 5'2", Tiss'shar Bounty Hunter, one of Ko'Val's (the loan shark) "collection agents".

Sha-Loh-Taan

The Tiss'shar bounty hunter followed Rogan, Li'Anah and Crucidius through the dingy winding streets, hugging the abundant shadows to conceal his presence. Not that he needed to against those witless humans, for they focused their attention only on each other, completely unaware of his presence. Fortunate for them, or else surely they would be quaking in fear. This was no challenge to his skills, this was an insult to the glorious hunters' heritage of the Tiss'shar.

The smuggler Harkes was his prey, to be taken alive -- a pity, but his employer Ko'Val wished to punish him for the failure to honour his debt. The hunter had witnessed Koval's punishments in the past -- they were ... interesting...

The presence of Crucidius was an unexpected bonus. A former employee of Ko'Val's, he was also a hunter, although his skills were no match for a Tiss'shar. But there had been an ... incident ... between he and Ko'Val, and now his employer would pay well if he could deliver Crucidius, dead or alive...

The woman? He did not know her, but she was female and of no consequence.

Sha-Loh-Taan halted at the corner of a derelict apartment, and activated his wrist communicator again. Several seconds past before his follower Slizzik replied. The fool, he was not yet in position to intercept the prey. He ordered Slizzik to hurry, or else the opportunity would be lost. Why must a true hunter such as he suffer the incompetence of underlings!?

He hurried to catch up with the humans, and continued to trail them for several minutes, until they stopped at the entrance to a turbo lift. No! They must not escape him now!

Rogan

We walked in silence for several blocks, eying each other cautiously the whole time. I stopped at the doors to a turbo lift and activated the controls, waiting impatiently for it to arrive. When the doors finally slid open with a shudder, I stepped into the empty car, closely followed by Li'Anah. We exchanged a brief knowing glance, and I could tell she was thinking the same thing as me -- wait until the doors were about to close and then kick Crucidius out onto the street. Crucidius began to enter, but before we could try anything, a loud harsh voice called out behind us.

"Crucidiusss!"

As Crucidius turned around, Li'Anah and I looked up to see five figures quickly fanning out across the street. Four of them were tough looking humanoids, wearing mismatched and battered blast armour, full-faced helmets and toting blaster rifles. The fifth figure, the one who had shouted, was even more imposing -- a huge black-scaled reptilian, it's powerful body partially clad in metallic grey armour, effortlessly carrying a light blaster cannon which was rather disconcertingly pointed in our direction.

"Watch out!" I shouted, as I dove to the side of the turbo lift, out of the line of fire. Li'Anah did likewise on the other side, managing to hit the controls to shut the lift door too. Crucidius dropped to the floor just in time to avoid the crimson hail of blaster bolts that peppered the back wall of the turbo lift, until after an agonizingly long second or two, the doors finally slid shut and the lift began to rise.

I saw the opportunity, and as Crucidius climbed back to his feet I instinctively went for the blaster on my hip, quick-drawing it and pressing the barrel against the side of the bounty hunter's head.

Now I pride myself on the speed of my fast draw, and this felt like one of my better ones, so I was a little suprised to find that Li'Anah had literally beaten me to the draw by a good half second at least, her own blaster also pressed to Crucidius' head opposite mine. I was fast, but Li'Anah...she was sudden, and I'll be damned if that didn't TURN ME ON!

I grinned at her and winked. She moved a little around behind Crucidius so our weapons weren't pointed at each other, her blaster now pressing against the back of his head. Almost in unison, we both spoke.

"Friend of yours?"

OOC: Character: Slizzik, Barabel Bounty Hunter, 6'9", 325lb, very powerful, tough and vicious but not so smart. Sha-Loh-Taan's second in command.

Li'Anah

Keeping a wary eye on Crucidius, we finally made it to Durn's. I hadn't been here in several years. Apparently Rogan had. Out of nowhere bounded this...this...girl. Perky, long black hair framing a gamine face atop a nymph's body.
"Rogan!" she squealed as she threw herself into his arms. She blanketed his face in kisses while he, to give him credit, tried to peel her off of himself. He wasn't trying very hard. I yanked her off him by her hair, wringing a painful scream that ended abruptly when she looked up at me.

"Who the hell are you?" we both demanded of each other. Her haughty attitude made my blood boil. I reached into a pocket for my dagger, but Rogan must have seen me and his hand held mine down to my side.

"Now, Li'Anah," he said soothingly. It just made me madder. "I can explain..."

Rogan

"I can explain..." I soothed, although it didn't sound very convincing, judging by the blazing stares both women were giving me.

"Li'Anah, this is Brea." I said, gesturing to the other young woman. "She's Durn's daughter, helps him out with the repairs." Grinning at Brea, I said, "She's a damn fine mechanic, just like her father."

My words didn't seem to cool the situation an awful lot, but since when has than stopped me from opening my mouth? I gestured to Li'Anah.

"Brea, this is Li'Anah, my...er, good friend..."

That probably wouldn't help either, I thought in hindsight. Silently I raised shields and braced for impact...

Li'Anah

I admit, my first impulse was to blast Rogan into a million tiny particles for that remark. Instead, I raised one eyebrow and asked, "Good friend? So now 'good friends' spend the better part of the morning screwing like rabbits?"

I was quite satisfied to see the embarrassed color creeping up Rogan's face and the crushed look that swept Brea's pretty features. As for Rogan's remark about her mechanic skills -- I just shot him another dirty look. I could take the Longshot apart and put it back together in my sleep and he knew it. He also knew that was a sensitive area for me. Insecurity suddenly got the better of me (which of course only made me more angry). Did Rogan have something going on with this little tart? The hungry look in her eyes suggested something.

In a fury, I started to reach surreptiously for my dagger with my now free hand...

Rogan

Brea looked at me, tears starting to well up in her angry green eyes. She tried to say something but couldn't manage to get the words out, instead turning away and rushing off across the repair bay and into the starship hangar. Wow, Li'Anah could cut deeper and quicker than the sharpest vibro-knife when she was in the right mood, or the wrong mood, depending on which side of it you were on...

I started to follow after Brea, but a flash of metal from Li'Anah's hand, combined with the furious blue fire that burned brightly in her eyes, convinced me that probably wasn't the wisest course of action right now...

"It's not what you think, Li'Anah!" I blurted, raising my hands defensively and backing off as she closed in.

"Well what the hell IS it!?" she spat.

Now it's fair to say I'm not exactly the coolest head in a pressure situation, and in times like this, my mouth has an unfortunate tendency to operate about three times faster than my brain. It didn't disappoint...

"She's always coming onto me, I couldn't help...no, wait! That's not..."

Li'Anah swung a sudden left hook at my face, which I barely managed to block. "Couldn't help WHAT!?" she shouted "Couldn't help giving in to her!? Is that it!?"

"No! She's got a crush on me, but it's not my fault Li'Anah, I barely even kissed her..."

Li'Anah

I couldn't believe this!! Rogan must have oatmeal for brains. He kissed her!! That little green-eyed tramp!! For several moments, I restrained myself and did not run to the starship hanger and snatch out all her hair. Why not??

I spun on my heel and headed after Brea and ignoring Rogan. She needed to learn a lesson about not messing with someone else's man. And HE needed to get out of my arm's reach.

I swear...one of these days I'm going to boot that no good son of a Argellian sea hag out an airlock!!

When I found Brea, she was banging around under the Longshot. Associating the Longshot with Rogan right now, I wasn't as upset as I might have been otherwise.
"Stay away from him," I said simply.

She strolled up to me. "You don't own him." Her smug voice was almost too much for me to take.

"I'll say it again, bitch. Stay away from Rogan. He's mine."

"Really?" Her eyes narrowed saucily. "Well then, where were you a couple of months ago when he was here? He sure gets friendly after he's had a couple of drinks, doesn't he."

That was it! Seeing red, I let my left fist fly toward her jaw, following up with a right to her gut that left her sucking wind. I vaguely heard footsteps, but didn't care. The little bitch launched herself at my middle and we went down in a tangled heap. Tasting blood -- my blood -- fueled my anger.

Rogan

OOC: Hentai: no he's still about I guess, probably standing around in the repair yard.

IC: One of these days, I thought, I was gonna have to start thinking before I opened my mouth. Still, it looked like I'd got off fairly lightly this time, as I watched Li'Anah storm off. I'd just let her cool off a little and then I'd talk her round. After all, it's not like I'd done anything wrong. Not really...

My mind wandered briefly, remembering exactly how enjoyable making up with Li'Anah usually was. Unfortunately, those very pleasant thoughts were all too quickly interrupted by the sounds of a struggle that errupted from the hangar.

Uh-oh...

I ran across the repair yard, careful to avoid the various starship spares, discharged fuel cells and such that were strewn across the bay. Entering the hangar my eyes were immediately drawn to Li'Anah and Brea as they rolled around on the duracrete floor in the shadow of the Longshot, scratching and clawing at each other as they struggled furiously for any advantage they could get.
Mmm, there's just something about watching two women fighting over me that really makes my blood boil! Hey, I'm only human...

Still, it looked like things were swiftly turning Li'Anah's way, and if I didn't intervene Brea was likely to get herself hurt, or worse...

I grabbed Li'Anah by the shoulders and tried to pull her off Brea. She put up a hell of a struggle, but I finally managed to pry her away, grasping her arms as I dragged her to her feet. Brea took advantage of the vulnerable position I'd inadvertantly put Li'Anah in, and lashed out at her, catching her square on the jaw and drawing a trickle of blood from the corner of her mouth.

Li'Anah lunged at Brea again. I tried to hold her back but she yanked one arm loose, catching me on the bridge of my nose with her flailing elbow. I cried out at the sudden pain and she escaped, tackling Brea to the ground again.

As I dabbed at my nose, feeling the dampness of my own blood, I head a gruff voice shouting from behind me.

"What the hell's going on!?"

I turned to see a stocky bearded middle-aged man, wearing a greasy set of overalls. "Quick Durn, help me!" I shouted.

"Before she kills her!"

i grabed breas wrists and held them up over her head pulling her away she screamed and kicked up a storm at my groin but my cup saved me that grief i stood there holding her up by the arms waiting for some indacation of what to do next

Li'Anah

I felt Brea being lifted off me, then whipped my head around to find Durn and Rogan staring down at me and Crucidius holding Brea.
My eyes flashed fire at Rogan. "You're going to regret that!"

I stormed away from Rogan toward the Longshot, slapping Brea across the face on the way in payment for that punch she got in while Rogan was holding me.

Once inside the Longshot, I let my anger carry me forward. I wasn't really looking where I was going until I found myself in one of the aft compartments where it's usually quiet and Rogan sometimes hides special cargo. I let my fingers roam without really looking at what I was touching. I felt something soft, and let my fingers linger, stewing about Rogan's unfaithfulness. My anger dropped a notch when I remembered that guy from the Afterburner who'd walked me home shortly after Rogan had disappeared. He looked a lot like Rogan, but when he kissed me, I knew he wasn't.
I started to walk back to find Rogan, but my fingers were tangled up in whatever I'd been messing with. I turned my head to see...panties. Panties? PANTIES!!!!! A drawer full of panties! My eyes widened with disbelief, then narrowed with jealous anger. I wondered which one's were Brea's? How many women does he string along? There must be 40 or 50 pairs here!
Now, I was really mad!

i decided to take a look around rogans ship so i cruley dropped the girl and snuck in tapping on the walls as i went looking for the secrit compartments i finaly found one and tossed the door open and saw a very mad looking Li'Anah with a hand full of pantys

"...well.... hello"

i stutterd awkwardly as i smiled kindly

"i sappouse rogan is into more then you and the women he was with at the bar"

i lied cunningly i wasnt big on powerful women but she was hot in all sense of the word and by what i had heard before she was awsome in bed mabye i could work a revenge screw in with her

"thats rough need a hand up*

i offerd her an out streched hand which she took wether it was to fling me into a wall or use some wierd pressure point on me ill never know but when one of my secound pairs of arms reached from my jacket to take her elbow it suprised her out of her violent intentions i pulled her to her feet and let her go and pulled my coat back shut with the arm

"something wrong hun?" i would have kissed her then but i didnt have enough cred for a new toughn

Rogan

"Get your hands off my daughter!" Durn shouted at Crucidius. "Who the hell is this guy?" he shot at me.

Crucidius released Brea, who kicked out inaccurately at the bounty hunter before storming off out of the hangar.

"Er...it's a long story Durn." I replied, trying to stop the bleeding from my nose. "Look, it was just a little misunderstanding, she'll be fine."

"She'd better be." he replied, shooting an angry look at me as he headed off to check on Brea. I guess I'd better try to calm Li'Anah down, I thought, looking around. Where'd Crucidius get to?

I jogged up the boarding ramp and entered the Longshot. I checked the cockpit and the cramped lounge, but there was no sign of her. Stopping to quickly glance into the ship's cabins, I headed towards the cargo holds. I searched around for a few seconds before catching a glimpse of her in one of the rear compartments. As I entered I called her name and she quickly turned, glaring at me with eyes ablaze with furious anger.

The next second or two seemed to pass so slowly that it was almost as if time stood still. My eyes took in the pair of panties she held in her hand, closely followed by the almost feral look that appeared on her face as she bared her teeth, and finishing up with the worrying sight of the knife that suddenly seemed to appear in her hand from out of nowhere. This didn't look good...

"Wait..." was all I managed to get out, before Li'Anah lunged at me. The wicked blade flashed and I felt a sharp pain pulsing from my chin. She barely paused before charging at me again, slashing the knife at chest height. Fortunately my instincts kicked in at the very last moment and I dove to one side, narrowly avoiding the razor sharp weapon. Li'Anah's momentum carried her past me and I took advantage of the brief opening, grabbing the arm holding the knife, gripping her wrist tightly as I tried to pry the weapon from her grasp.

She lashed out backwards with her foot, catching me hard on the shin. The pain almost made me let her go, and she managed to twist around to face me before I regained my tight grip. I grabbed her other wrist too, before she could use it to strike me, and pushed her back against the nearby bulkhead. I pinned her body to the wall with mine, and tried to twist the knife out of her hand, but she wouldn't give it up.

"Drop it Li'Anah!" I shouted, her face mere inches from mine.

"You cheating bastard! I'm gonna kill you!" she spat back, struggling furiously.

"Listen! Just listen to me for a second..."

Unfortunately, listening seemed like the last thing she had on her mine...

Li'Anah

OOC: Okay, boys, let me see if I can tie these two together...

IC:
I was in utter shock. Both from the stash of panties I'd found and from the extra pair of arms on Crucidius I'd seen when he helped me to my feet. I was so shocked that I didn't see Rogan enter the room. But when I did see him, I saw red!

I lunged at him with my knife, catching him on the chin. He grabbed my arm, trying to get me to let go of my knife. Instead, I kicked at him, connecting with his shin and was rewarded with his hiss of pain. Finally, he got a hold of my wrists and pinned me to the wall. Crucidius seemed to be enjoying himself. He just stood there laughing.

"Drop it Li'Anah!" Rogan shouted.

"You cheating bastard! I'm gonna kill you!" I screamed at him.

"Listen! Just listen to me for a second..."

"You've got sixty seconds," I said, easing my knee between his thighs, ready for the killing blow...

Rogan

Thankful for the brief respite, I took a moment to regain my breath. I heard a laugh behind me and turned to see Crucidius standing there. Where'd he come from?

Li'Anah struggled again, and I quickly turned back to her.

"Look Li'Anah, I don't know what Brea said, but nothing happened between me and her. Well okay, I kissed her once, but I was drunk, and you how how stupid I can get sometimes. That's it, I swear."

For some reason this didn't seem to do an awful lot to calm her down, her eyes still burning into me with more intensity that an angry wookie.

"What!? What's wrong?"

Li'Anah

Reaching behind me, I snagged three pairs of panties and held them up to Rogan's face.

"How," I asked, seething, "do you explain these?"

Rogan

A-ha! So that's what she was so mad about. I grinned at her, which only served to drive her even further over the edge. I was gonna enjoy this...

"Look at them Li'Anah," I said calmly, if a little smugly, "just look at them."

"Don't they look a little...familiar?"

I couldn't resist it, and leaning my head forward slightly I sniffed the material of the panties she was holding, and whispered teasingly into her ear.

"They sure smell familiar..."

[Edited by Friendly Dragon on 11-17-2000 at 01:05 PM]

Li'Anah

"Don't they look a little...familiar?"

Shrugging out of his grasp, I look a little closer at the panties in my hand. Holy -- they were MINE!!

I went back over to the drawer I'd pulled them out of, rifling through the whole pile. Every one was mine. I couldn't believe it.

"Why?" I couldn't get any other words out. Rogan just blushed (he's soooooo cute when he blushes ;)). In one back corner, something caught my eye. I dug it out and found the panties I'd worn the very first time Rogan and I had made love. I'd always thought they'd fallen down some vent shaft on that freighter. My anger started to disolve when I realized what his reasons might be.

Rogan

I shrugged, smiling sheepishly as I saw some of her foul mood start to lift.

"Hey, it gets...lonely sometimes. Hurtling through hyperspace, millions of miles from the nearest living being. I..."

I felt my chest getting a little tight, as I struggled to say the words I wanted to.

"Well, I...missed you Li'Anah." I finally said, avoiding her gaze. "I wanted something to remind me of you..."

I wasn't used to speaking my feelings like that, and it made me uncomfortable. Trying to change the subject, I rubbed tenderly at the still-bleeding gash her knife had inflicted on my chin.

"Looks like I'm gonna have something else to remind me now..."

[Edited by Friendly Dragon on 11-17-2000 at 05:13 PM]

"i dont belive this" i mumbled shakeing my head

"listen cant you two have this converstion in space times a wasting and we have some seriousely powerful hunters on our trail"

Rogan

I turned around to face Crucidius.

"Durn's not done fixing the Longshot yet, so if you're worried then maybe you should go keep watch."

I felt Li'Anah's hand lightly touch my jaw, turning my face back to hers...
