The ships were gone. Crescentdown plunged into hyperspace. Only a pitiful few got away. The rest of the personnel on the base were lost, either killed or captured. If they were dead, then they escaped the slow and painful death of being a prisoner of the Empire.
Lt. Allapr Rainleap combed through the few prisoners the stormtroopers brought him. They were shoved onto their knees before him. The lieutenant smiled knowing that they were not going to make it easy for him. He loved a challenge.
For Crescentdown, the challenge was over. He saw the TIE bomber crippled, but wasn't sure if he nailed it. The shuttle exploding still lingered in his mind as he approached the Medical Frigate for docking.
