Star Wars

Sha'ara

Sha'ara sat off to one side as Tawain and Farlo worked together on 3P0. Things were like the old days ... laughing and harassing each other good naturedly, the only difference now was that she no longer had her eyesight. Things were right with the world though.

Then suddenly, Sha'ara felt off balance. A wave of nausea enveloped her and just as rapidly it was gone. She stood up and ran to the door. Tawain asked, "Sha'ara! Where are you going what's wrong?"

"I don't know, but there's been a sudden shift in the force.... I feel all hell is about to break loose." She ran back to her room and changed back into her Jedi Attire. Farlo and Tawain followed her back to her room and waited while she changed. After a few minutes Farlo grew impatient and knocked. Sha'ara opened the door and started to walk into the hallway. Realizing she didn't have her lightsaber in her utility belt she held her hand out and it soared into her palm. She turned her head in the direction of where the men were and said, "Let's go."

Tawain

Tawain ran along the corridor with Sha'ara and Farlo. He had sensed something, though nothing so violent as Sha'ara claimed. But then again, he didn't feel the force at that moment...it had slipped again.
Still, he ran as fast as he could...and suddenly things changed.
It was as if a communication screen and been put right in front of his eyes.
He saw a man in black. He felt that great evil was inside him. He held a black object in his hand...and from it suddenly burst a ray off uter blackness.
The Fang of Death has arisen...arisen...the Fang of Death has arisen..it has arisen...the Starblade must be found...must...the Starblade...must be found...find the Starblade, Bright One, find the Starblade, defeat the Dark...upon the Path of Elirial thou shalt find it...
Then Tawain was back in the corridor again, leaning against a wall. Farlo and Sha'ara were frowning at him worriedly.
"Tawain, what's wrong? You've gone all pale."
"It's nothing I just...look, go ahead, I'll join you later. I just have to...check on something."
Without another word he rushed off, in direction of the Millenium Falcon's databank control room.

Sha'ara

Tawain ran off in another direction and I called after him. He stopped and turned toward me, I jogged over to him and whispered, "Don't do anything crazy ... I haven't gotten to show you how much I love you yet." I couldn't see his face, but I'm sure he blushed ... just a little. I kissed him quickly on the lips and ran off in the direction of the conference room, where it seemed logical everyone else would be now.

OOC: You know, I was kinda expecting Ganor's deathstar to do that anyway. One of the few revenge possibilities that ran through my mind. I was tempted to intercept and destroy Ganor's deathstar with the Emperor's own, before he got round to blowing up the Artifact, you know - but I figured the Silver/Ganor scene would force the Emperor's hand sooner. Oh well, guess that means the Sith are going to have to kill all the Jedi now... and I had such plans for the great black pyramid he had built... ;)
Oh, and the Emperor can still taunt Ganor : 'My deathstars bigger than your deathstar, na-na-na-naaa-na!', lol!

The Emperor

The Emperor sat for a moment, scowling, then began to laugh aloud.

"We could trade vengeful acts all day, Ganor - probably for much longer" he laughed, "and as amusing as I find it, I believe that, yes, we should call it a truce"

The Emperor smiled, at least he had the foresight to remove all the Sith artifacts he could from Sithius before Ganor's Deathstar arrived in system. The loss of the Njaish Pyramid he had built was regretful, but not a long-term loss. After all, he had the blueprints still, it could be rebuilt elsewhere - and he had found something better in the meantime. He put his hand to the hilt of the weapon hung in his belt momentarily, now attuned to him properly.

He saw Ganor glance at that black cylinder, a brief look of surprise crossing his face.

I don't remember seeing the Emperor wearing a lightsabre before. The Emperor smiled, hearing Silver voice that thought, though Ganor's were once more clouded from him.

"Well, Ganor, Silver... I have a couple of questions to put to you both..."

OOC: These will be those I mentioned from before. I thought it would be easier bringing them up like that so you could each put them at the start of your own posts, poohlive and moneytalks.

Tawain

Tawain stood in the corridor, gazing after Sha'ara. He could still feel her kiss upon his lips. Once again warmth flooded within him, and the force was back, almost like an afterthought.
Shaking himself, Tawain started runing again, until he reached the databank main computer. Here, most of the knowledge of the New Republic was stored, in electronic form.
Stting down in fron of the console, he tried to find any reference to the words 'Fang of Death', 'Starblade' or 'Bright One'. The result was always the same:
NO MATCH FOUND
Sighing, Tawain sat back.
...upon the path of Elirial thou shalt find it...
Leaning forward again, he typed the word 'Elirial'. The he held his breath as the screen became filled wih words:

**********************
Elirial

Legendary Jedi Master, said by some to be only a myth. According, to acient Jedi records, Elirial fought and killed no fewer than 20 Sith Masters, thus preventing an upheaval of the Dark Side in his time. Said to wield both the lightsabre and the force with incredible skill. Rumors suggest that he had even invented a new type of lightsabre. There is noe record of where Elirial lived(supposrting the theory he is only a myth) except one very old and rather contested legend, whose only copy was found in an ancient Jedi temple:

[And Elirial Or'ar'sar did climb the highest mountain upon Shalos and there he did decree:
"This place the Force hath hallowed. Here shall I build my citadel, and though it may fall in time, still it shall wait under the dust, until the Prophesized cometh."
]
**********************

Quickly, Tawain made a search for 'Shalos'

**********************
Shalos

A planet well known in legend, on which there seems to be some energy field that connects with the force. That is why the ruin of many a Jedi temple still lie upon its surface. Today the planet is known as Kirath.

Poohlive... [lol]... you're so good at being bad!

ic:

Silver sat very still. She heard the Emperor's question but for once was at a loss for words. She had just witnessed the most awesome show of macho power imaginable. She wasn't the sort to pick sides prematurely. She smiled softly.

Standing, she walked over to Ganor. As she drew close her gaze glanced down at his finger and the ring that encircled it. She licked her lips as she considered the power of it, then she brushed her fingers across the back of his hand. He shivered ever so slightly watching her. She turned and faced the Emperor and her gaze narrowed as she inspected the new sabre he had at his side. She could feel the power of it. So tantalising.

Taking a deep breath she finally spoke. Walking away from them both. She stood equal distance between them. "I will not lie, you both know me well enough, I lust for power. It is the one thing that drives me... the ONLY thing." Her blue eyes darkened. "I don't believe myself capable of that human emotion love. I have proven my loyalty on more than one occassion, but..." She paused and turned away from them both. "I tire of watching two powerful Sith fighting when we should be destroying that which threatens us immediately." She walked towards the large viewing window.

Tawain

Tawain burrst into the meeting room and fought for breath.
Sha'ara, Farlo, Ronag and Zen stared at him.
"Ki...Kirath." he panted. "Planet Kirath. Where is it?"
Ronag looked at him for a moment, then turned to the cartography computer.
"Kirath...in this very solar system, as a matter of fact. 3 cosmic units from here."
Tawain couldn't believe his luck. Or was it luck?
"I've got to get there?"
Ronag raised his eyebrows. "Why?"
"Because...I've got to get there, I just know it. My dreams...look, it's not as though I'm not an expendable member of this crew. If you're afraid it'll slow you down, just give me a shuttle."

ooc: Glad you like it Indika ;)
Oh, by the way, did any of you people notice something in my last post(with the computer readout) which jogged your memory? Probably not, it's quite a little detail. Read it again...then read the very first page of this thread...well don't worry if you don't get it, its really a tiny detail.

Farlo

I sensed the urgency in Tawain's voice.

"Whatever you think you've got to do, Tawain... I believe you. The White Hawks ready to fly".

He nodded, then looked at me and Sha'ara, seeing our own determined looks.

We wouldn't let him go alone.

Sha'ara

OOC - I think I know what you are talking about Lightman!

IC - "Tawain, as far as I'm concerned, nobody here is expendable ... especially not you." Sha'ara grabbed her gear and headed out toward the White Hawk along side Farlo and Tawain.

Tawain

ooc:
Indika--got it? Wanna mail me what you're thinking?

ic:
A few minutes later they were aboard the White Hawk, navigating a direct course towards Kirath. As they began their descent through the atmosphere, they could all feel it--the force was somehow more present here than elsewhere, more tangible...

Ganor

Ganor seemed both impressed and disappointed in her speech. She was, after all a Sith, he couldn't make her be something she isn't. After all, niether could he.
Ganor stood up, walkign toward Silver. He kissed her hand, and she went back to her seat.
"I am a sith master. My passion is for the dark side. Silver is a wonderful woman, and a great fighter, but I don't love her. Respect, yes. Loyalty, yes. Lust, positively yes, but not love."
Ganor looked at the Emporer. His eyes were cold, but unrevealing. He supposed his own eyes said the same.
Ganor sat back down, looking at the window.
"Is there anything you do love Ganor?"
Ganor looked at him, "What?"
He nodded to Silver, "She admits she loves power. Is there anything that you love."
Ganor looked out at the window, millions of stars sparkling. His mind only went to one thing.
"Yes... I love my brother."
The Emporer ave him a curious look, "Would you risk your life for him?"
Ganor laughed, "Actually, I hope to be the one to kill him."
The Emporer placed his hands together, "Excellent." (Mr. Burns... lol)
Ganor looked back at Silver and the Emporer, "Well, now that these informalties are over with. I think a plan is in order."
The Emporer raised his hand, "Not yet Ganor. There something else first."
Ganor looked at him, "What?"
The Emporer smiled.

Ronag

"Do you know what a boomerang is?"
Zen nodded.
Ronag grabbed his light saber, "Throw it, and make it come back to you."
Zen threw the saber, it cluttered to the ground noisily. Then after it came to a stop, he forced it back, slowly to him.
Ronag was very impressed, he was learning faster than any Jedi he had trained (that makes 3 now... lol). Probably because of his former training was coming back to him. Ronag knew if he could latch into the force, he could et his memory back.
"Now, try it without the Saber hitting the ground."
Zen gave him a look, but attempted it anyway. The saber clattered to the ground again.
"News Ronag."
He looked at a cadet, "What is it?"
"Tawain, Sha'ara, and Farlo left to go to another planet."
Ronag lowered his head, "All right. Thanks."
Zen looked at him, "Are you all right?"
"I guess I am a little jealous is all. I hope they come back soon, we need whatever they are bringing, but you need to continue with your training, I can't change that. I can't change any of it."
"Why? What are they bringing."
Ronag paused a second, "I don't know. But it has something to do with twins... A ying and a yang, so to speak. Sort of like my brother and I."
Zen looked at the saber, "You have a brother?"
Ronag smiled, "A sith lord."
"Holy shit. You two are enimies..."
"Not really?"
Zen had a curious look on his face, "Why not?"
"Because, we are borthers. Nothing can change that, not even the force. Now, back to your training. Don't let it drop this time. Try throwing it closer to you, then sort of make it hover in the air."
The light saber turned around a few times, hovering slightly in the air, before crashing to the ground.
Ronag held back a laugh, "Better..."

Sha'ara

The White Hawk shook violently as it neared the planet Kirath. "Another bumpy ride," Sha'ara muttered to herself, then to Farlo she commented, "Hey Farlo. You think you can try crash landing this thing? Then, maybe I'd get my eyesight back!" We all laughed.

Zen

I slightly smirk at his poor attempt to hold in his laughter. Well, he was trying to help so I had better do my best at this. Picking up the saber, I told him in a confident voice "This time I'll get it right."

Before I threw it, I relax myself and begin to feel the force working before I do anything. Bringing my hand up, I toss the saber into the air and watch on as it flies off away then slowly turns around to us. The saber turned back in a spinning motion at us just like it was supposed to.

"I did it!" I tell Ronag who smiles in pride then shows a look of shock.

"Get down!" he yells while tackling me out of the way of the soaring saber. We fall to the floor as the saber goes flying off and impales itself into a nearby wall.

As he helps me up I tell him with a sheepish smile "Well, at least this time it came back."

Ronag just told me "Uh maybe it would be better if we move onto other things for now and get back to this at another time... like maybe in a month." I rub my head and force out a weak chuckle.

Farlo

"What, after I've only just got it resprayed?" I said, with a faint chuckle, "crash the White Hawk? Me?"

I looked over at Tawain, and saw him seemingly just staring ahead into nothing.

"Well, Tawain, we're here... were's the landing pad?" I asked, then gasped, my hand round the joystick jerked forward, involuntarily, putting us into suddenly into a steep dive.

"Farlo!" Sha'ara cried out, as she fell back into her seat from the gee's, "that's not funny!"

"Its... its not me..." I said, between gritted teeth, fighting for control.

"It's Kirath" Tawain said, his voice sounding strangely distant, "don't worry... we're being taken somewhere..."

"The planet? Could you ask... her?... to take it a little bit easier then?" I retorted, suddenly having no choice but to trust to Tawain's instincts. I thought his mouth curled up slightly into a smile at that.

"We won't crash" he said, calmly.

"Easy for you to say... you're not the one with the altitude meter spinning like crazy beneath your nose!"

OOC: I think a summary of everything so far would even be handy for us, Renegade, lol! Go for it. You've got my vote.

On board the Vengeance

"So... the birthplace of the first Sith is gone" the Emperor said, his voice sounding sad, as he stared out of the window at the chunks of rock. The numerous Star Destroyers, which were previously in orbit with the now-dead planet of Sithius, were blasting away at the debris to shield themselves and the gathered Imperial fleet as it retreated.

"I applaud your act of vengeance, Ganor... it was quite fitting, and, fortunately, not entirely unforseen by me. But I do not think you know what you have truly done. The Dark Side is not just tied to people, but to places, also. Sithius had served as a stronghold of evil for many thousands of years. Its loss is ours, yours, Silvers, and any future Sith, not just mine. The death of Sithius has created an imbalance in the force... one which we must take pains to swiftly correct..."

The Emperor turned round to look at Ganor, eyes unblinking.

"Power is something to be... nurtured... if it is to be truly kept" the Emperor added, "something you will learn in time... age brings wisdom. In destroying the artifact you and your twin claimed as your own, I intended not just to flame your hate of me, but to show you that fact. That it gave me... some pleasure in doing so was simply a... bonus. It increased your overall future potential. Fear, hate, jealousy, anger... nurture them. They lead to power... as you should well know..."

The Emperor glanced at the ring on Ganor's finger, "and as for that... I have no desire for it, Ganor... as it is an artifact crafted by a Jedi so-called Master... so, heed my warning, and be careful it does not taint your control of the Dark Side..."

Before Ganor could voice his opinion, the door to the chamber swung open, and an Imperial officer walked in, accompanied by a couple of Imperial guardsmen. The rank indicated by the strip on the left breast of his uniform indicated he was a Moff.

"Ah, Moff Truan, glad to see you're up and about again... I trust you find the new body suitable?"

"Moff Truan?" Ganor said, looking at Jarko a little more closely, as the Moff nodded, Ganor probing his mind no doubt to check this was the truth. Ganor was surprised to find the Moff's mind closed to him, somehow.

"Moff Truan obliged me with some assistance, which unfortunately, but necessarily, resulted in his death" the Emperor said, "but I shall not bother you with the details... so, I had his spirit restored to a new body.... my own Death Star houses a cloning facility like the one which was down on the late Sithius... you don't think I wouldn't have contingency plans, Ganor? Like I said, I plan to rule for a very, very long time. The Pyramid will have to be rebuilt, but that should not take too long. There was a foundation laid upon the Death Star's surface for one, anyway... since the station was to be my mobile throne, as it were, when away from Sithius. With the resources available in this system, it should take a week at most to construct... with a little help from the dark side... as your own rebuilt little death star shows..."

Ganor scowled inwardly at the 'little', but smiled openly. He sensed the Emperor was gouding him, now. Their rivalry only strengthened them. It was the way of the Sith.

"Now, shall we discuss our plans, Ganor, Silver? There is somewhere, where we can address the problem of the imbalance in the force. A planet... once known as Shalos..."

Tawain

ooc: Kepic, I'm almost beginning to think you don't like me! First you oppose Tawain with Farlo, and now they've made peace you try the same with the Emperor! ;)
Oh, and by the way, the planet is still called Kirath. Its old name was Shalos.

ic:
"Tawain!" said Farlo, we're not descending, we're rising!"
"Good. It is the highest mountain we need..."
And indeed, soon afterwards the White Hawk landed upon a giant mountain of red rock.
Carefully, the three of them set foot on Kirath, the legendary and now long abondoned planet of the Jedi. It was said that the planet's inhabitants had been slaughtered by Sith(at a time when the Sith had not been able to blow up planets). And indeed, the feeling of the pulsing Force around them bore the taint of the Dark Side...

[Edited by Lightman on 10-16-2000 at 01:51 PM]

OOC: OK, edited (at the same time as you, lol!) to suit... thought now Sithius is gone, moving the showdown elsewhere might be a good idea... and Kirath(Shalos) looks like it could be an interesting place to do it...

Farlo

"Well, where too now?" I asked, "this place makes Hoth look hospitable, just on the opposite end of the temperature scale".

Tawain

Tawain looked around. There was nothing but rocks and dust. The air, as Farlo had said, was dry and hot. Slowly he began to walk forward--and stopped as he felt a hand on his shoulder.
Turning around, he say Sha'ara's beatiful face, bearing a look of concern.
"Tawain...do you know what you're doing."
Tawain took a deep breath.
"Not exactly...but...just trust me. I'll find where we have to go."
Slowly the three of them walked forwards, through a narrow gap between two large rocks...and gasped.
Before them lay a city. Strange buildings of red rock, their architecture resembling the Jedi temple near the original base.

But they were all in ruins, and silence reigned...
