First day here - fist post. I have been taking time to read the boards and get a feel of the place, but this thread caught my attention.

Would it be inappopriate here to say that I bought a Ford once - it was just a car. I have had several others, and they were just cars too. I imagine the next one I buy will be a car as well, but a little shinier. I may feel Devilish and have a red one, but then again I may feel in a sort of greensih mood. Who knows? Whatever, it will just be a car!

Maybe this attitude is typically British??
