"Breaking news has been broadcast from the PEACe Mothership. An hour ago the council announced its first schism in nearly four hundred years. As yet the cause is unknown, but there are already reports that some councillors are retreating from the Mothership and taking their resources with them. General Starborn has come forward, claiming that he was the leader of the new division. Chancellor Vera Starborn is yet to give her official statement. A press conference has been announced for three hours time to provide he public with more information.

Vera's grip on Jase's shoulder tightened as her world was tipped askew. She took a few deep breaths and tried to ignore the bulletin. They were so close now. So close that there would be no benefit to going back. A couple of hours delay here would give her no disadvantage. Political issues took time ti develop, and right now the Lexicon was so close. It could be the key to sitting out whatever disaster awaited her.

"How long until we're planet side?" Vera asked.
