"Uh huh," Vera moaned as Jase claimed her verbally and physically. He slid into her arse, her body struggling to accommodate him. His cock felt he inside her, as she was on all fours before him, skewered in place. When he started to thrust in and out she could truly appreciate how form and strength, mewling as his cock pummeled her. She reached hand down below her, her fingers finding her sensitive clit and rubbing it eagerly. She was sensitive still, and knew it wouldn't be long before she orgasmed again, her body clamping down around his cock and trying to milk him for his cum.

"mmm fuck I love taking your arse" Jase murmured thrusting in and out his balls slapping against her pussy and clit as she began to rub it. His hands traveled down as well rubbing her small pump as his other hand found her nipple and began plucking at it.

"Oh fuck oh fuck" He moaned thrusting in and out the smell and sound of their sex soon filling the room. He continued to tease her nipples rubbing and rolling the sensitive buds between his fingers as he worked in and out of her at a steady rough rythm.

Jase's hands roamed Vera's body, one massaging her breasts and the other caressing her bump as he fucked her roughly. With her own fingers pleasuring her clit she felt like every part of her was being touched and pleasures in some way. Her head spin with the intoxicating mix of sensations and her body hummed as her orgasm took control, forcing Jase's name through her lips in a hoarse cry as her body tightened around him. Again and again she called out for him, his cock and hands, for his thrusts and his love.

He buried himself in her in ALL of her. His cock in her ass his hands on her breast, and his head in her hair breathing in her scent even as he plowed into her. It was rough and it was sweet a combination he had never found before but was addicted to with her. His cock felt every inch of her tight ass and her nipple rolled between his finger as he thrust into her again and again.

Time lost all meaning for a while as instead he just lost himself in her. He didnt know how long they enjoyed and sampled each other but all to soon he felt the pull of his orgasm beginning to make itself known.

"Oh god baby im getting close frak im getting close" Jase murmured against her hair kissing it as eh thrusted in and out "god give it to me baby fraking give it to me I need it need to cum in that sweet ass of yours!"

Vera purred as Jase's thrusting sent her spiraling away into a world of total pleasure. Her body was attuned tk his, pushing back against him as he thrust and deepening his penetration. She looked back at him over her shoulder, her heart racing as she watched him fucking her with wild abandon. His thrusts became desperate.
"Cum for me Jase," she moaned, "I want it all."

"oh frak here it comes here it FRAKING comes" Jase growled thrusting harder and faster moaning as his orgasm ripped through him. He felt it pulse through his body a wave of pleasure hitting him and hitting him hard. He thrusted his entire body spasming as his cock burst his cum flowing into her with the force of a canon as he moved in and out rough and hard.

"Oh fuck" He moaned pulling out and collapsing on the bed frame next to her.

The sheer force of Jace's thrusts had Vera screaming out, her body pummeled by his strength. When he came her own world exploded again, an unexpected orgasm tearing through her and making her sensitive body convulse around his throbbing cock. When he was done she was still panting, and she whimpered as he slid out of her and plopped down on the bed beside her. She buried her face in the mattress for a few minutes, still om all fours, not yer ready to move. Then, with a heavy sigh and cum trickling from her arse down her thighs, she collapsed onto the bed beside him, her sensitive body protesting as she snuggled up to his side

"I really do love you, you know," she told him, resting her head against his chest and listening to the rapid drumming of his heart.

"Sam," Vera called out softly, "do you think you can show us the babies again please."

A moment later a projection of two tiny wiggling foetuses' was suspended in the air before them. At this early stage it was still so hard tk believe they were real. Vera sighed in contentment, snuggling into Jase even closer.

Jase felt her begin to snuggle up and sighed. He threw his arms out moving and adjusting them both so that she was laying on his chest and he can stroke her hair. He stroked her hair watching as the footage of their babies filled the room.

"Hard to believe isnt it" He murmured his eyes watching the scene play out before him as he stroked her hair "here we are in the seat of power taking on a threat none of could have imagined hard to believe just a few months ago we were meeting for the first time"

"Now our love story is going to unite the galaxy" he siad laughing "and were hopefully going to have this threat kicked in the arse so our babies come home to a galaxy at peace"

"If someone told me I'd be carrying the children of renowned smuggler Jase Crestfield I would have laughed in their face," Vera said, laughing lightly. "But now I can't imagine anything better."

Vera sighed in contentment, her eyelids heavy as sleep tugged at her. She ignored the fact that their galaxy was balanced on the precipice of destruction, ignored the fact they were surrounded by enemies. All she wanted to know about at that moment was that she was with Jase, held in his arms, as their future grew within her. She fell into a restful and dreamless sleep quickly.

He laughed at that as well. He kissed her forehead and then fell into his own sleep.

A sleep free of worry

He awoke early then her carefully extracting himself from her before going over to the closet and pulling on his gym clothes.

"Samantha tell Boomer to meet me at the gym along with the men on punishment detail" Jase said stepping out and nodding at the gaurds who saluted him "were working out then we got a full day ahead of us"

"Will do" Samantha said "also you might be interested to know the Empress got a priority Vid message from the coalition of alien species"

"Did she" Jase said surprised "I thought they were backing the rebels?"

"Apparently your little speech did more than rouse the human side of the universe" Samantha replied "the species council knows you they know you wouldnt be with PEACe if it wasnt paramount for the safety of the universe they want to talk with her and you"

"Let the empress know then" Jase said jogging to the gym sure enough Boomer and the gaurds were already there.

"Gentleman" Jase said nodding at them all

"lets get started"

Vera didn't notice that Jase had left the bed until the sheets beside her went cool and her stomach started to grumble. She sat up, stretching and yawning as she looked around, smiling to herself about the memory of the previous night's session. The junction between her legs was still sticky from his cum and the thought of it made her squirm. Vera turned, placing her feet on the floor and throwing the covers off.

"Don't even think about getting up without eating something first," Samantha appeared in the doorway with her arms crossed over her chest. It was a testament to just how used to Samantha Vera had become that she didn't bother covering up her nudity. With a groan Vera settled back into her bed and took some dry crackers from her bedside, munching on them dutifully until she got out of bed.

"I had breakfast brought up for you, it's waiting on your desk with a data pack containing an e-mail from Ashlyn Greyjoy. She has requested an interview with you this morning and I think you should do it."

Vera sighed as she made her way to the bedroom.

"Okay, I'll see what she had to offer. Give me half an hour to get ready and read through her proposal."

"And to eat breakfast," Sam called out as Vera shut the door. Vera didn't bother to reply.

~*~

Vera sat at her desk, having finished her breakfast and ready over the letter that Ashlyn had sent to her, ready and waiting for the woman's call to be patched through to the holophone on her desk.

Instead of the phone the door opened instead

"For some one who spends most of her time looking through a viewscreen I prefer to be up close and personal" Ashlyn said the door closing behind her. Her high heels clicked as she came over sitting down and crossing her legs.

"You really need to eat more" She said starring at her "your not going to be able to hide this pregnancy thing very well if you have morning sickness written all over your face"

......................

Jase and the men finished their work out Jase noted with pleasure that the punishment gaurds were breathing a little hard from the effort.

"Whats your guys name any ways" Jase said leaning against the bulk head.

"William Mark and Dark" Boomer said smirking "none for being the troublesome trio"

"Shut up" Mark murmured glaring at Boomer

"Ah makes sense apparently not the brightest either" Jase remarked causing all of them to glare at him

"Ah ah ah boys before your punishment painting your going to be doing one more thing for me" Jase said nodding his head "the falcon has got a workspace in her my AI will open her up so you guys can move her down to the Corporals armory hes going to be putting you guys to work the next couple of days getting my tech lab set up now if you guys think your going to be stealing any thing think again as I will be watching you the entire time" Jase said tapping his IRIS.

"Are we clear?"

"Sir yes Sir"

................

"Are you really going to be watching them the whole day?" Boomer asked amused as they both walked to the fleet commanders room.

"No but Samantha will" Jase replied walking and smiling "she knows what to do if they even think of stealing some thing"

Vera's heart skipped a beat at Ashlyn's comment. The young woman had breezed into her office as though she just belonged there and sat right down.

"What pregnancy?" Vera asked, using the best poker face she had. It was honed by years of tense political situation, as impenetrable as they got. "I hope you don't think that I am going to fake a pregnancy just to fit into some story? That takes it too far."

Vera leaned back, eyeing the woman before her, sizing her up.

"Oh please" Ashlyn said shaking her head "im the oldest of eight you think I dont know the telltale signs of a woman who is pregnant?"

"Dont get me wrong your secret is safe with me but lets not lie to each other not when im going to do every thing possible to spin your story in the right way" She said with a shake of her head. She pulled out a tablet and handed it to her.

"My contract saying basically you and Jase the general shash father to be get final say on what I put out" she said tapping it "your secrets safe with me so can we drop the pretense?"

................

Jase spent an hour dealing with the fleet commander

He was as it turns out NOT the guy who had been roused by his little speach. As a matter of fact he made it clear he was not a man who liked another new comer to come in and help him do his jobs. Even with Boomer there the man turned out to be a nightmare and it was only AFTER Jase showed him the holes in his defenses that he accepted any help.

A new plan was devised and new attack patterns and patrols. Jase would be loaning the Falcon out to Boomer for patrols. Jase would take control of the flag ship and be on deck at all times when not flying special missions. One one hand it meant not piloting as much on the other it meant he would be ready to lead the ship into the heart of battle.

Vera took the contract, not bothering to grace Ashlyn's comment with a repsonse. "Sam, is the contract tight?" She thought, a moment later an affirmative hum sounded in her ear. Vera flicked through it herself and couldn't see anything untoward.

"Okay," Vera said, setting her eyes on Ashlyn. "Pretensed dropped. Just remember, Miss Greyjoy, that at the heart of whatever story we are spinning there is a real, genuine relationship. We are going to become a family, and I can tell you right now that I will allow nothing and no one to bring that down."

Vera digitally signed the contract and sent a copy back through to Ashlyn.

"Whether Jase signs is up to him though, I will consult with him when I get a chance," Vera said, nodding towards Ashlyn. "You are also welcome to discuss whatever needs you have with my PR team."

"Now," Vera said, leaning back in her chair and resisting the nausea rising in her throat as she looked at the girl, "What is it that you think Jase and I need to do?"

"Trust me I wouldn't be interested in this story if it wasn't genuine" Ashyln said rolling her eyes and leaning back "Empress you may think me an enemy here but trust me I am not I promise you under my hand you will have people lining up at the doors to join the great power couple"

"I think our best course of action is to have you tell your story" Ashyln said leaning forward "but not as an empress as a love sick girl who is facing a great burden you need to gush really show the galaxy how much you love him and fear for you both in the coming war and thats why I signed you up for an interview alone first and then with Jase"

Vera knew now that Ashlyn was no enemy, but she had no doubt the girl had her own agenda; even if it was just trying to further her own career. Vera listened to her proposal and shook her head in disgust at the idea of being portrayed as a 'love sick girl' and the use of the word 'gush'. However, she was a fiery young thing, and Vera knew it would be better to have her on side than to have her pit herself against them.

"I will tell you my story," Vera said, eyes raking the girl raw, "but I will not gush. "

"You need to gush," Sam interrupted in her head, a smug voice if ever Vera had heard one.

"No matter how lovesick I am or the burden I face, gushing is just not something I know how to do."

She watched as Ashlyn sized her up and waited until the girl shrugged with indifference. Vera sighed then, wondering how to start the tale. One she had never thought she would have to tell, particularly not in any good detail.

"And the pregnancy? Not a word gets out until the General and I are ready to announce it." That sentence carried a particularly potent threat with it, one that Ashlyn didn't even bother arguing with.

"I didn't want to fall in love," she started, sitting forward in her chair and leaning her head on her hands. She saw Ashlyn tap the screen on her watch unit, her expression keen as she readied herself to devour the story.

"After what happened with Matthew, the lost love you mentioned, I told myself I wouldn't do it again. I couldn't. Particularly not when it meant that who ever dared love me would be putting himself at personal risk." Vera struggled to get those words out as her memories cast her back to her time with Matthew. She cursed the pregnancy hormones for making her emotional but she knew that they weren't the true culprit.

"The General and I-" Vera stopped, noting that Ashlyn raised her eyebrow at the use of the title.

"Do you call him 'general in bed'?" Samantha chimed into her head. Shut up, Vera thought to her.

"Jase and I, we met when I went on a mission. The one that led us to discover the threat of Hive. The mission was the reason I left Avery in charge. We had to chase an artefact, one that I knew would help us mend the cracks in our universe."

Vera smiled fondly, remembering back to the day she first met Jase and how she wanted to tear him to shreds.

"No matter how many crews I sent to find the map to the artefact, we couldn't find it. Either the Rebels beat us there or it was a dead end. But Jase? He found it. No problems. He found it and snatched it probably an hour before we did. So, naturally, I had to hunt him down. I wasn't going to let a renowned space pirate get in the way of saving the universe."

Vera reached over, taking a few nibbles of a dry cracker and found it did nothing to ease her nausea.

There was a knock on the door and Vera waved it open, a kitchen staff member brought in a cup of tea for her, Vera accepted it with eyebrows furrowed.

"It should help," Samantha told her through their mind link, Vera made sure to thank her before she took a sip. It was strong, but it didn't want to make her retch.

"So I managed to track Jase down, and with some help from CSOs Oren and Claus, we went to bring him into custody. Unfortunately Claus and Oren were caught in crossfire between two other parties, none of which had anything to do with Jase or PEACe. It was tragic-" Vera wanted to say more about the loss of her colleagues but shook her head, not able to dwell on it in that moment. "So Jase, not knowing who or what I was, pushed me out of way when an explosive blast shattered through the room we were in. Immediately he took control, knowing the situation was going south, and we escaped down a hatch. Without caring that I was there to hunt him down we worked together to escape."

"Despite the fact that I was wearing unbranded gear, Jase remembered encountering me from when he first took the map. He didn't seem to care that I was with PEACe, that I was aboard his ship. He had no interest in harming me. By the stars, he even cooked food for me. Which is good, because I couldn't cook to save my life. Instead, we both realised that the object he had wasn't the artefact we were after, but a map. So, we followed it together."

Vera took another sip of her tea, sighing in pleasure as it warmed her through and chased the nausea away.

"We spent a lot of time together on that mission. There were several occasions where we risked ourselves for each other, saved each other's lives. There are a lot of reasons that we should have hated each other; on the surface we were both what the others despised. But... he isn't a reckless space pirate. He is smart, strong, brave and funny- but, don't tell him I that though, if he thinks he's funny he will never leave me be. He wasn't doing his jobs to get back at PEACe, all of the jobs he had taken were ones where he had a chance to correct the things that we had missed. The injustices that slipped by under our watch. I couldn't believe it- so many times I asked why he didn't hate me, and it was because I wasn't those injustices, he knew I wanted peace just as badly as he did."

Vera got to her feet, walking over to the full length window and observing the green and blue planet below.

"I'm not sure when I fell in love with him exactly," Vera sighed, "It was somewhere between realising that he was one of the most noble and honest people I've ever met, and coming to realise that I didn't want to be alone any more. It was between the missions, but also while we're on them. It was when he had knew idea who I was, but also when my identity was revealed to him, yet he gave me a chance to explain my deception. It was somewhere between the points where I went from knowing that I needed him, to understanding that we all need him. His life has been hard, of that I have no doubt, but he has a resilience and intelligence that I admire. No matter the situation he takes it head on and he has a way of solving problems that is ingenius."

Vera turned back to the reporter then, leaning against the glass and watching for her reaction.

"So yes, Miss Greyjoy, I love him. I love him more than I can even describe, and I need him. But not as much as this universe does. I am only thankful that he was forgiving enough to stick around, and honourable enough to accept his post even though we had given him nothing but a lifetime of grief. Part of me wants to run away with him, to go somewhere where it is just he and I, free from the cares of our worlds. But we can't and we won't. We won't rest until this blight is dealt with, until our universe is safe for everyone to live in.

Ashlyn Greyjoy stood tucking her datapad back in her purse before walking over to Vera. She stopped her eyes searching her face for several moments before she smiled.

"You did excellent" Ashlyn said nodding at her datapad "you probably think this whole thing is silly or a waste but just you wait just you wait until you see this story hit the feeds right now what this universe needs is clear leadership clear reasons to come and join the fight not only did you give them that but also a couple and a love to root for"

"Take heart" she said reaching forward and giving the Empress shoulder a squeeze before turning on her heel "And tell tomorrow Jase is going to get to tell his story next" She said moving to the door and stepping out of it.

Samantha appeared the minute she left moving forward and staring Vera up and down.

"What you said" she finally said sighing and running a finger through her hair "thank you"

"I suppose my programming allow me to adapt and evolve" Samantha said "I used to hate PEACe you knew that but you never knew WHY I did so much"

"I will tell you but you must never tell Jase" Samantha said "his mother my creator she was dying..... even before she went to that godforsaken place but she knew her son would need a mother some one who would love him with every bit of conviction that she did and so she used Korlift to create me out of her DNA and Brain squences I am her and not at the same time but that love that mothers love that made it"

"So trust me when I say how hard it is to say the following... I forgive you Vera for the sins of your parents and.... I am happy you are with Jase there is no one I trust more than you with him" She said nodding her head before disappearing.

.................

"Alright Boomer here is the play" Jase said coming into the WAR room and waving his hand. The holomap warmed a picture of an asteroid field coming into view Tomas and Boomer both leaned in staring at it.

"Lucky enough I still have some contacts in the information acquisition department" Jase said gesturing at the larger asteriod "They got a lead on Averys location a old PEACe base that apparently the old general was keeping around as a fall back center now most of the purist fleet is stationed there which is probably because there going to use it as a base to launch their attacks on PEACe"

"We should take the fleet then" Tomas said rubbing his chin "show them what we think of this blood civil war"

"And then get into a firefight and lose resources not fighting the true enemy" Jase said shaking his head "But I like where you are going with this"

"Our plan is two fold were going to rescue Avery and then the three of us" Jase said pointing at Boomer and him "Are going to assinate the uncle but a rest to this shit once and for all if the general is dead then the every one will panic at the same time I am going to get with the Empress and have her prepare a PR packet to launch the next day the purist will be with no head and direction and then we will be seen as a shining beacon of hope"

Vera listened to Samantha, her heart fluttering at the AI's admission. She wondered why Sam didn't want to tell Jase about the truth behind her programming, why she wouldn't tell him something that could give him hope, make him feel a little less alone in the universe.

"Your secret is safe with me Sam, but why won't you tell Jase?" Vera's words fell just as Sam blinked out of the room. She knew the AI would have heard them, but she also knew she may just chose to ignore them.

Nevertheless the morning seemed to be a great success. Vera sat down at her desk again, smiling at the words that Sam had just said. That she is glad Vera is with Jase. That she trusts Vera. Vera was surprised at just how that much meant to her, perhaps even more than the fact that Sam said she would look past the sins of her parents.

Before lunch time Vera decided to talk to Starspeaker. Samantha had told her about the meeting request from the Coalition of Alien Species, and Vera figured that Starspeaker might have some pearls of wisdom he could share from his time as ruler of the Galaxy.

Vera met him in the comfortable sitting room just off the main corner of her office. He came in and gave her a wide smile.

"So, I see you and the General have made it official." Starspeaker said as he sat down. "The crew seems enamoured by the idea. I've heard a lot of gossip on the matter. The general consensus is that you are both in a genuine relationship, which is good. Had you given them cause to doubt, if you do in the future, it could backfire."

Vera nodded with a grim smile.

"Yes, we're working on making sure our relationship works for us and not against us," Vera said, offering him one of the treats she had requested for their meeting. He scrunched his nose up, taking one and sniffing it before taking a delicate bite to taste it.

"Surely the food is not that different here?" Vera asked with a smile.

"There is a lot that is different here," He said with a shrug, taking a bite of the pastry apparently deciding that it was edible. "The flavour combinations, use of spices... different to what I am- was- used to."

They discussed culinary traditions for a while longer before Vera brought up the Coalition of Alien Species. They had something similar when Starspeaker was ruler, and he said that they were one of his most powerful allies. He gave Vera some tips on dealing with the coalition, as well as ways to atone with the wrongs of the past. Vera's parents had been terrible in that way; they wanted universal unity, but only for humanoid beings. Creatures with tentacles? Gills? Wings and claws? Anything that wasn't human was second class. To be pushed down. Bred out. The idea had disgusted Vera; the sheer force of will her parents had for racial purity. Though with the history of their actions Vera had found it almost impossible to bring the Coalition to the table for negotiations and reparations; and she didn't blame them. The fact that they had reached out to she and Jase was, frankly, a miracle. She wanted to make sure she didn't ruin her chance to repair relations. The threat of Hive was one against all people.

"Also, Chancellor," Starspeaker begun.

"Really?" Vera tutted, "Please call me Vera."

Starspeaker looked like he would argue, but then sighed heavily.

"Also, Vera," he corrected, earning a smile from her "I think it might be helpful if you allowed me to come along to your meeting with the Coalition. I do have the skills of translation for which you first sought me out. It will be easier if you are able to speak in the language you are confident with, and the coalition can speak with whichever language they are comfortable with. Things may get lost in translation, yes, but I can assure you that it will be more meaningful when neither side has to struggle to find a word that they may not know exists."

"Thank you," Vera said, truly appreciative of his offering. "I have asked for the meeting to be scheduled in the late afternoon, I will get Kryten to let you know an hour before it starts. We will he holding it in the council chambers."

~*~

When Vera and Starspeaker were finished talking she went back to her quarters.

"Jase, will you be joining me for lunch today?" She asked through their mind link. When she got back to their quarters the builders from the previous day were just putting the finishing touches on their kitchen.

"Ma'am," all three of them stood to attention, knowing smirks on their faces.

"It's looking good in here gentlemen," Vera said, pushing back her embarrassment at the builder's interruption the day before, but unable to keep a slight blush from her cheeks.

"Will the general be joining you for lunch today?"One of the builders asked. Another one elbowed him in the side and gave him a look of reproach. "No, well, I only ask because the kitchen is almost done and we would like to see if it meets his approval. That's all," The guy blubbered, even though Vera knew it was a cover.

Avery Watersmith

Remote Disused PEACe Planet Station

They had moved her. She was no longer on the ship the General had commandeered, instead she had been transferred to a planet base. Without seeing their approach to the planet she was unable to tell which. It was, however, a PEACe built facility so she had a small glimmer of hope that she would be found if someone was looking for her.

And that was a big if.

Just after they had landed planetside the General's guards had led her past the mess hall on their way to her new prison. They had stopped just outside, watching a projected announcement through the open doors and sniggering in deision. Vera stood there, making an announcement to her crew with the smuggler Jase Cresftield at her side. The room was generally silent, but everynow and again some officer or another would throw up a suggestive comment or bawdy joke and the others would laugh.

Avery backed away from the door, knowing full well what she looked like. Who she looked like. She wondered if Vera even had time to think about her when she was clearly so busy making announcements to the crew and appointing herself new leaders. All Avery knew was that she had been a prisoner for four weeks now. Every day made her feel as though there was less and less chance that someone was coming for her.

That afternoon, what Avery had been dreading the most happened.

"Miss Watersmith," Said the Doctor, walking into the room with an arched brow. "I have been looking into your medical and genetic records and noticed a few strange things. Why is your information so heavily encrypted? What? No comment? Never mind, we have our best people on the case. "

The doctor walked out then and Avery paced the room, looking desperately for a way to escape, any way to get out before they discovered who she and Vera truly were. She might be feeling alone, and desperate, but the thought of what could happen to her and Vera when the General found out about their genetic truth came out, she couldn't bear it. Some things transcended her loneliness.

"sure ill be right there" Jase thought back to her. He moved away from the reports and leaned back glacning over at Boomer.

"I'm going to go have lunch you have the bridge until I get back" Jase said getting up and nodding at every one stationed on the bridge. They all snapped to attention getting up and saluting him.

"Guys we have talked about this" Jase said pinching the bridge of his nose "Every time I leave or enter the frakkin bridge you are NOT going to get up and salute me"

"Sir yes Sir!"

"Mother" Jase said ignoring Boomers snigger "Boomer you have the bridge"

"Aye General"

Jase stepped out of the bridge nodding at the security stationed outside of the door. He mentally reviewed the list of things he still have to do in his head. He had spent the bulk of his day moving his things into his new office (he had an office blah) and of course since it had belonged to the old general it also meant trashing A LOT of stuff.

and there was even more to come when he got back

He entered their living space just as he heard the men blubbering. Jase smirked striding up behind Vera and running his hands down her side as he looked at the man and rose one eyebrow.

"It looks great gentleman" Jase said grinning "good enough that I think you lot deserve a break for lunch the Empress and I shall be eating in here any ways" he sad leaning down to kiss the top of her hair.

Vera's taut smile turned into a scowl when Jase ran his hand down her side, and the kiss on her head topped it off. The men shared amused looks before shuffling out. Vera turned to Jase and shook her head before doing down and starting lunch.

"I have a council meeting this s afternoon, you are free to join us if you like, then after that is the meeting with the Coalition- Starspeaker has volunteered to attend and translate for us," Vera said between bites. "I met with Ashlyn this morning too. She's... Interesting. Though Sam and I agreed that she could be good for our cause. How was your morning?"

Jase chuckled at her scowl shaking his own head before joining her

"did I do some thing to upset my Empress" He said pulling his portion of the food forward and leaning back to raise an eyebrow "I had no idea the empress was so.... tight about PDA" He teased his ginr widening.

"My day was good my dear" He said with a wave of his hand "if not tedious that is between the plan of attack for Avery dealing with the arse of a fleet commander and moving into my new office its been one of THOSE days"

Jase's words about PDA's were true, she was uptight about them. They were something that she had never been comfortable with in her professional role, and on board the ship? She was always in that role. She thought about the meeting with Ashlyn that morning and realised that the girl would be horrified if she shied away from PDA's. Especially with the new side of her they were trying to expose.

"Just something I need to get used to in this context," Vera said giving him am apologetic smile. "Unfortunately you're probably going to be having a lot of those type of days... Though how is the planning to retrieve Avery going? When do you think you wil move?"

As time got on Vera hated the fact that Avery was locked up more and more. She felt for her sister, wanted her back where she belonged and where she was safe.

"It goes" Jase said shrugging and sipping his water "we found her or at least I did at some remote disused PEACe base"

"Your uncle is there as well" Jase said eating "which means its a two birds one stone kind of mission we get your sister back and we capture your uncle hopefully with both your uncle gone and our own PR campaign we can end this civil war before it becomes bloody and no harm no foul"

"As for the meeting I will be there on both of them" Jase said "the species council has insisted I have been there I know a ot of these guys from my rebel days there good people but there not big fans of PEACe"
