I have superman shirts too ... and skivvies ... Always liked Batman better though. I totally think that I'm (finally) going to go as either Poision Ivy or Catwoman for Halloween this year. ... I keep saying this and it doesn't happen.

Hi, Alice...

I've been lurking on your thread for a few days now, and I have to say (aside from the compliments you've already deservedly received) that I love your approach to self portraits, or self boudoir (if such a category exists).

I am (or would like to think) a novice photographer interested in more portrait and light boudoir photography and I have to say the way you have chosen your poses as very creative and stunning.

Your use of different outfits is something I never really paid attention to when photographing Jenn, but I will definitely keep it in mind for our shoots in the future.

PM me if you'd like to swap ideas, most of mine have been done, but maybe there's something I could offer.

By the way, what camera are you using? Any special lighting conditions (ie diffused sunlight or EV or WB settings for different lighting)?

May I make a suggestion for a series? It's not so much along the vein of 'boudoir', although some might find it erotic just the same. Wearing your renaissance dress in it's element.

It doesn't mean necessarily at an event, but even in a park near woods. To me the idea gives an air of a renaissance or medieval period maiden in her time/place. Just a thought for you.

Thanks it was a nice weekend one day of schleping one day of relaxing, but I got my kitchen table out of it so that makes me happy and btw I'm usually not around on the weekend

Well thank you I don't really think of myself as much as a photographer and acctually this is something I do to combat some self hatred, but if I can take pictures of myself that I like then I obviously have to just be having crazy thoughts ... or somthing like that is how it goes, hece the poses

I love clothes, I think that the element of fashion and the underneaths are the greatest sex appeal that any woman can have, you don't have to have an amazing body or a perfect face if you have a really great dress and killer heels, at least in my book

My ideas are, like the rest of my thoughts, rather scattered trying to pull something together last minute that's why I always ask for ideas, but I will check out your stuff and see if I come up with any ideas

My camera is a digital kodak dx 500 or something like that. I have no idea what a EV or WB is I just get enough light in the area with the mirror to be able to take a visible pic then I turn the flash off I really have no idea what I'm doing

Interesting... Self esteem is the reason that I asked Jenn to pose for me. I thought that having the feedback would show her that I'm not just biased when I tell her she's beautiful. Everyone (male and female) who replied to our thread really liked the pics. Crazy, is exactly what we thought at first, but as time went on, it became so fun and made so many friends that it became a social thread more than for pics. It's funny, because even guys who were originally there to perve on her/us, turned out to be really cool and near the end small talk was made with few sexual comments on pics... Jenny and I went from images to people to hang out with. So it was positive in both ways.

We used clothes in our pics as well, somehow the end result was almost the opposite of that I see in your pics in that for us clothes seemed to be a prop. From my point of view, it's hard to tell if your clothes are the prop, or the main subject... A very nice spin from the usual pics we see.

We are last minutes thoughts, or more regularly no thought at all... We generally are doing our thing and decide 'hey lets get the camera out for our friends while we're at it!'

Ok, so you're saying that you're just lucky with how pics come out. Well, even though you may think you don't know what you're doing, you have an eye for it or something, because 99% of what you post is great... So, unless you're like us (we toss 80% of the pics as unpostable) You are choosing all the right elements for successful pics.

Keep snapping. I'm having a lot of fun anticipating your next offerings... Both as a photographer and a self proclaimed perve.... lol

I understand where your BF is coming from... Jenn was on Lit under a different alias hanging out with the writers. I had a hard time accepting it at first until she asked me to check it out...
