I know... She hugged her brother tight he had been the only stable in her life since their parents divorce and she really needed that. Smiling to him she splashed him again fro this "point blank" range and smiled sticking her tongue out at him with a laugh.

He laughed back not releasing the hug and then took them both under water before taking a deep breath. He always did this to her knowing he could hold his breath longer then she could. Once Aubryn started struggling to get back up he released her letting her swim up as he swam away laughing.

She yelled half laughing when she caught her breath and splashed him as she swam after him.

You rat I hate it when you do that...

She was laughing all the while as she spoke.

Matt was just laughing and splashing his sister back as he swam over to the stairs and sat on them to relax.

She kept swimming around for a while longer with a smile before joining him on the steps.

Leaning back on the stairs feeling the warm sun hitting his body he watched as his sister kept swimming around. He was now becoming more angry at the fact that his step father could have done something to Aubryn and he wasn't there to stop him. He just shook these thoughts for now so he could enjoy his time with his sister

Sitting on the steps she leaned back eyes closed soft sigh as she finally fully relaxed clearing her mind of the thoughts that have been troubling her.

"This is nice sis. I always enjoyed our Thursday routine" He said with a smile so relaxed right now as his legs were in the cool water and the sun was beating down on his upper half.

You remember the first time we did this? She looked over at him smiling slightly her hand shading her eyes as she relaxed with her brother.

He let out a small laugh as he remembered the first time. "How could I forget it Aubryn? I was walking by the pool when out of nowhere you came and shoved me in the pool. I was in all my clothes and everything"

Little mad at everyone over the divorce and you were an easy target I knew wouldn't get mad at me... Still surprised I was able to push you over when I was that young.

She laughed and looked at him

I think you saw me and you jumped in to humor me didn't you?

Still laughing Matt said "No, you just caught me off guard and I lost balance. But it will never happen again" he said jokingly

She moved to curl up against his shoulder. I will never catch you off guard like you will never beat me in basketball...

She laughed and kissed his cheek before standing up to dry off a little so she could go get some snacks and drinks for them.

"Well your gonna be really surprised today when I beat you in basketball." He said as he turned and watched her walk away.

Yeah right you say that every week bro...

She walked into the house and grabbed up some snacks and drinks.

Getting out of the pool and grabbing his towel he quickly dried off and walked inside to eat the snacks and have a drink before playing basketball with Aubryn

She finished up her snack and headed to the garage to get the ball and tossing it to him when he was done.

"There is still time to back out if you don't wanna lose" He said with a laugh as he caught the ball.

Yeah like thats going to happen lets just play.

She got ready to block him with a devious smile.

They started playing basketball and Matt was going easy at first but when she started winning he got more serious but was still unable to beat her. He was never very good at basketball but enjoyed playing with his sister

She smiled and stifled a laugh she couldn't even manage to Let him wind... she wondered why he humored her by still playing.

They never realized it but their time every Thursday always took hours but never felt like it had taken any time at all.

After the game Matt sat on the ground catching his breath. "Damn.. you beat me yet again" he said with a small laugh still trying to catch his beath. He noticed what time it was and he became excited as he realized Leena should be coming home soon

Yeah but now I have to go get cleaned up Ashley and I are going to the movies then to see her aunt in the hospital... YOu remember her aunt... always made like 50 tons oc cookies for the neighborhood kids... she is in the hospital... fell and broke her hip and while she was there for that they found a problem with her stomach so she will be there for about 2 more weeks... she is NOT happy so I told Ashley to tell her I would come by to see her.

Both excited that he and Leena will have the house to themselves and a little upset hearing about Ashley's aunt he said "Yeah I remember her. That's so awful... Well give her my wishes and tell her to get better soon so she can make us some more cookies."

 

[Asa]

She laughed... She will be all sorts of happy to know ya still thinking with your stomach

Aubryn headed into the house to get ready to go.
