Yeah, I don't normally use a mirror lens because you cannot adjust the apeture but I'm curious if they do work well as a budget telephoto.

Aluminium.

I used to use mirrored lenses but mainly because I like the doughnut ring effect they give with out of focus highlights. these days I tend to just use a 1.4 or 2x teleconvertor, or am I missing the point
