Jenna, tired and sore...
Walking in this sand is so damn hard, and it is starting to get dusk. I have to figure out something for the night!
I walked toward where I knew I had seen people they had disappeared into the green brush- I swear they were people "oh my god I hope I am not delirious too" No... now I know. I see a young man in a suit, He disappears into the bushes also, I start running. I see light and swirls of smoke.
Oh thank god there are people here. I reach the spot where the young man disappeared into the woods and I climbed the hill then I saw the light and a cave.
As I entered I saw there were several people in the cave - they appeared to be snuggling and comforting each other - I see Mikayla, my companion when the ship sank- I am so relieved to see someone I knew (even if just newly) She smiles at me and her new companion - A sexy stocky man greets me with a russian accent. One person is alone -a handsome gentlemen sitting at the fire - he was the one I had seen last. He looked up at me as I entered
I was so Relieved to have found shelter and fire and to find I am not alone -- I started to cry. The enormity of this whole thing shuddered over me. I realized that my husband was probably dead, who knows, he was in the room and asleep. I am racked with sobs.
The young man speaks softly to me to come sit and warm by the fire -- He has an attractive french accent. I am sobbing and sit next to him. He reaches his arm over my shoulders and comforts me gently, He gently says in his broken words that If I am comfortable enough with it - I really should try to dry my clothes out at the fire and get warm. I agree as we are all in the same situation I really should not be timid.
I pull myself together and pull off my sweatshirt that is heavy with water, I pull off my t-shirt and shorts, they too are still so damp they are cold. I sit in my underwear and my bra. It occurs to me that these underclothes will have to last for God knows how long
My new friend peels off parts of his wet suit and lays them with my clothes on the rocks to dry.
He smiles at me and I suddenly feel better, His soft gaze and the awkwardness of both us being half-naked and cold breaks the grasp of fear in me. I timidly ask him if we could snuggle to use our bodies to keep one another warm. He smiles and wraps his arms around me -- His skin is so warm. My tight muscles all relax. God, he feels good
