Strangers in the Night...

Drake

Drake dismissed the bartender with the flick of his wrist, not even sparing him a glance, and moved to brush a strand of loose hair behind Claudias ear, leaning in close to her face. "She is quite lovely darling...is she not?"

A green gaze of ice and fire flickered along the girl's form as she inclined her head toward Drake and remarks as softly to him even with the noise of the club filling the air,"of course darling, you have remarkable taste as always." Moving off of Drake's arm she moved to slide behind Lydia as she stands facing Drake and then leans in slightly toward the girl and flicks a strand of hair off her shoulder," Tell us darling how long HAVE you been coming to the club. Drake and I are 'old' friends from some time back and you have been seen occasionally but always alone, why is that I wonder?" Claudia's voice was as smooth as silk and purred at Lydia in such a soothing manner as to calm the girl as gently as possible amid relax her around Drake's ominous personage.

Drake

He smirked, watching the movements of his vampric counterpart. Crossing his arms and leaning against the bar, he watches with interest as Claudia baits Lydia right into their hands...or fangs.

~ she met his gaze.. watched as his eyes took her in.. seeming to... study her... what was he looking for in her.. she wondered... was he looking to see if she was.. indeed .. what she actually was?.. She knew there were mortals who knew of the existance of Vampires.. and he had been fed upon.. of course he would know and believe.. perhaps that explained the silver blade she saw him hide ~

" defenseless... me? Now why would you think that? Because I am not carrying a blade such as yours? "

Kale

"Hmmm...I see your senses are as sharp as your wit...I was only preparing myself for an inevitable confrontation that is to take place...but you need'nt worry yourself with such concerns...I think you should continue to be concerned about my intentions towards you." This woman was strange. She did not fully register to him as a vampire, and yet some of the tell tale signs were present, and she felt out of place. Perhaps this one hadn't fed in a while, or as much as her more bloodthirsty brethren, or perhaps she was truly mortal. He wasn't yet sure...but he was determined to find out.

~ narrowing her eyes.. she does take a step back from him... casting a glance to the Club door ~..

"Tell me.. what confrontation.. with the one in the Club who managed to get you thrown out? Or with the 2 brutes who did the actually throwing.. and isn't it a little.. off balance with you having a blade.. ?"

~What was he going to do.. charge in there and go after that male vampire.. even she.. in her brief observance of that male.. knew he was different.. a bit more.. powerful than most... she got that sense.. that was one of the reasons why she left...
her thoughts for a moment turn toward the helpless mortal girl.. and she could not help but shake her head.. a bit sadly...

Purposely she ignored his comment about herself.. and his intentions.. at least for the moment.. ~

" You'll need more than that blade for the one in the Club.. if that is truely your ... intentions.. "

Kale

He lowered his gaze to look directly into her eyes, and she saw the fire that burned deep within them. He decided to push his tests of this woman to the limit...how far would she let him go before she exposed what she truly was...whatever that may be. "Worry not about that...my fight is my own. What if I told you I was considering throwing you against that dumpster there and having my way with you? "

Lydia watches Drake and Claudia, even more in awe of the way the two almost seem to dance together despite the fact that they are merely standing there. There is something magical about them, and while she is obviously enamored, she grows visibly uncomfortable when Claudia moves around her so as to keep her between Drake and herself.

"I come here almost every night, Claudia, you know that . . ." She swallowed hard, cautiously tried to catch the bartender's eye for help, but he was too busy to notice. There was something in Claudia's voice that unnerved her even more. While her brain was telling her to calm down -- that she was safe here, her heart was screaming for her to turn tail and run. "Why does it matter if I'm alone?"

She looked at Drake again, then over her shoulder at Claudia -- calm she was not, but despite her eagerness to leave, she couldn't seem to will her body to do so.

~ her gaze drawn back to his... she indeed did see a flicker deep inside.. a fire... a hatred... she knew then that the hatred was for her own kind.. this made this situation very dangerous... for both of them...~

"What if I told you I was considering throwing you against that dumpster there and having my way with you? "

"that.. would not be advisable.. my scream would easily bring many .. running... to my aide... then you would not be able to persue the one you really hunt... the one in the Club.. who at this very moment... also hunts... "

Wary.. she continues to watch him.. He had that blade.. she unaware that he had 2... and she.. was not really a fighter.. she got her prey via her ... charm.. so to speak.. and not by force.. once they were in... position.. it was easy for her to feed.. with little or no resistance.. This man had been caught offguard the first time.. she did not think it would happen again... not in his lifetime.. ~
