If i may dare, and on Nessus' behalf, i cannot imagine she would be deliberately insulting to you or any of us. She simply isn't -or hasn't ever been, here, among us- that kind of person. Perhaps it's another case of net limitations on the emotional quality of the words passed between relative strangers? We've all been victim to such misunderstandings, have we not?

Perhaps "mistress" needs to seek another board otherwise accept who people are and what they are about.

Perhaps we need to all stop piling on MD; we have all pointed out the mistake, and we can go on from here and forget the misstep?

MD, to answer your question; there are a lot of submissives here, see the thread with "bound and gagged" in the title.

I personally am not a submissive, although people who meet me may mistake me for one; I am kind of passive/agressive - I dislike conflict and shy away from it, but when I feel I need to I can sink my teeth into someone's jugular.

I am too much of a rebel to ever submit to any real degree - which probably one of the reasons I hated the military.

We are all overlooking a basic problem here, and that's one of assumption that most people have when they get here. Admit it, you had it as well.

We're here because we like pornographic stories and we found the Bulletin Board. Pornography --> bulletin board --> therefore the BB is all about porn and the things that go with it.

Mistress Domme did nothing wrong in assuming that. It is a natural assumption. As she says, she doesn't have the time to spend a few days discovering what this board is all about before she makes her first post. Her style was brusque and it was vaguely insulting. We should take into account that she is brand new and doesn't know our ways yet.

Mistress Domme, a word of advice. When one arrives in a community of any sort for the first time, it behooves one to do a little investigating into how the community is themed and interacts. That way one has an idea of a way to post what one likes without insulting one right off the bat.

This is a general board where we discuss issues from politics to books to what sort of drink we'd be if we were an alcoholic beverage. If you are looking for submissives, you'll find them south of us in the Literotica Personals. If you are looking to discuss submission in general, then that would be better phraseology, perhaps.

The bottom line here is that you treat us with respect and we treat you with respect. In theory at least. That doesn't always happen.

Anyway, in answer to your question. We have some here, but on the GB they are not sexual submissives first, they are people who discuss things first, then sexual submissives. They will pay the respect they feel is due to a dominant. However, they, and the rest of us, require that a dominant pay the respect that is due to them as human beings on the General Board. Off this board, in Private Messaging and in the Sexual Role Playing board, these do not necessarily apply. On this board, though, we see the person not the whips and the cuffs. We are not a BDSM oriented board. Beyond discussing it, this board doesn't do much by the way of BDSM.

Am I submissive? Yes, in a way. I'm not the "Tie me down and beat me Mistress" sort of submissive. The way I get off the most is by knowing I'm pleasuring my partner. I would and will do anything for my partner that doesn't involve hurting her or getting hurt(too much). Even if it means acting the dom.
