My wife and I had known the Robertson family for several years and we usually got together for cards or dinner at least once a month. Frank Robertson was a fairly good golfer, so I offered to drop off a Tee Time pass to a him that I had won in a charity auction. It was a hot Friday afternoon about 4pm when I pulled into the driveway. The garage door was open and both cars were there, so I walked that way to the side door and knocked.
The pool door was open which meant they were probably swimming. I went down to it, opened it and called out. The only voice was from Patti, Frank's wife.

Frank and I had been married for about five years now. I made the mistake, perhaps, of getting married a bit too early than I should have. I managed to get myself a bachelor's in western history before deciding to settle down. Though, I rapidly realized that I wasn't exactly happy of my choice of lifestyle; I was essentially a trophy wife for Frank, who had been going away in many business trips and accomplishing his dreams. Not only that, but on his spare time he had the gall to go golfing. To who was I married to?

I had plenty of other men who were interested in me; I mean, I knew my figure was an eye-catcher. Men who often openly stare at my chest and flirt with me all day long. I often wondered then, of what could have been if I had simply dated someone else?

That said, I was at the pool wearing a black bikini, simply allowing myself to float on the water. That until I heard a noise. I moved over to watch who was there but it seemed my alarmed state was for naught; it was Jeff.

"Oh hi Jeff."
I say, chuckling out of relief "I'm sorry, you startled me for a second."

"Yep, it's just me I was looking for Frank. I brought the Tee Time pass for him."

As I spoke, I stepped onto the sidewalk and approached the table chairs in a patio setting, still thinking that Frank was at home. Then I saw a single towel on the table. It was a warm afternoon and having been in their house several times, I knew it was air conditioned. Therefore, he might be indoors.

The float that Patti was on was nearly in the center of the pool. But even at this distance, her form was stunning. She wore sunglasses and still needed to shade her eyes as she looked my way. Her suit was the expensive type with straps that tied at the sides. It was a suit that was made for sunning and beach walking, not for real swimming.

Patti enjoyed the company of others and did well in group settings. She could add to any conversation topic and was the first to laugh at a risque remark. I always enjoyed the manner in which she could add life to a gathering.

"I was hoping to catch him at home?'

"Oh, I'm afraid that he isn't here." I said, as I continued to float along the pool. "And honestly, I'm not too sure on when he'll be back. It seems to me that he's always on business trips or going golfing." I then added, hoping that I wasn't revealing too much on my personal life.

"I don't suppose you'd like to join me? I could use some company."
I then stated. I always preferred being with other individuals rather than being by myself.

"Believe me, I could really use a swim. But I don't have my suit. This is really a swell pool you have here. And I love the backyard."

The yard was incredible and obviously professionally landscaped. There was the pool and a permanent Japanese garden, all with exterior lighting and a high wooden fence that kept things very private. The whole yard gave the appearance of a very expensive project. He had been to the house several times during the winter but never out here. His eyes took in everthing.

"I can just leave the pass here on the table. Frank can use it anytime during the summer.

As I spoke my eyes went back to Patti, who had paddled the raft closer to the edge giving me a quick glance at her swim bottoms.
