Just a vote, because vampires is getting to be a big category in the story tags.

Favorite supernatural creature in an erotic story?

Mine is water nymphs (with long snake tails) for women, and werewolves for men.

mmmmmm braiiiins...

I read a fiction novel about a zombie schoolgirl that was kept as a sex slave...strange I know, but it was a pretty hot book.

Werewolves. I find the whole uncontroled and primal desire thing really hot.

sirens and succubus i like vamps to

Going with the succubus, something about having hot sex and losing your soul at the same time is a turn on.

If anyone else likes this go online and look for a model named Lilith Satana a lot of her pics are along that line.

I vote for vampires......good looking guy vampires!

OK, female vampires too for you guys.

Genies. Hands down favorites.

There was an episode of Supernatural once where a hot college girl was turned into a zombie. But not your typical lurching, moaning zombie. She seemed more-or-less normal, except for her pale skin. The guy who resurrected her made her his doting, submissive love slave, but of course, you didn't actually get to see anything. Dunno why; the gore in that show must push it well into the adult ratings, so what's a little skin to boot?

Anyways, I thought it was kind of creepy-hot, until she started going on a killing spree of the people who had wronged her in life.

Try a dryad.

Are you going to be writing stories from these "votes"/examples/choices?

Mutant ninja turtles. But not teenage mutant ninja turtles, because that would just be wrong.

I don't really get this one myself. Why lust after someone who wants to eat you and has a face like a dog?

Of course, I have similar issues with vampires, except that they're usally portrayed as being pretty these days.

Title and/or Link? Please?

I like genies too, although mostly because of what they can do than what they are.

Jeannie being an excpetion of course. I find the idea of someone being into girls who DOESN'T lust after her is inconcievable to me.

I also have a fondness for snake-girls (whether lamia, naga, medusa, or some other variety, I'm not picky), dwarves, this scorpion beauty, and at this moment thanks to PotC4, mermaids.

Wasn't thinking of writing stories from these...

Just curious. It's interesting what people are turned on by, and I wanted to know that people dont just like vamps. Maybe it will give other writers the idea. Currently writing a story about demons, but I'm kinda busy so it wont hit the site for a while. DEMONS ARE SOOOOOO COOOOOOL!!!

DEMONS ARE SOOOOOO COOOOOOL!!!

I agree - in part because they are so versatile. Demons can be anything from those humanoid bat-like creatures with ram horns, to snake or goat-like beings, to things that look exactly like humans, to invisible entities... You can do pretty much anything you want with them.;)

Demons, fey, and genies, oh my...

I'm with Myth, in that it's hard to beat a demon for all-around versatility in an erotic tale involving the supernatural. But there's so much to be had by matching the type of otherworldly being with what the story calls for, or what your human character would have the least defense/most affinity with.

The ghost of a lonely housewife, who only had one lover and who's longing in life was so powerful yet unrealized, today she haunts the entire apartment building...

They fey who happens upon campers, a Ranger detachment, or a a group of fraternity brothers out far away from the party barn. A fey ( fairy ) -lives- for mischief and selfish pleasure, and who better to toy with ( by playing on their homophobia, failing desire to remain faithful, or misplaced virtue ) than a group of human men, just boys really to this timeless spirit.

The elemental, in her ( or his ) natural habitat, luring a transgressor to peril of a physical or personal nature by being the very embodiment of their nature. The water spirit is adaptable, impossible to pin down, and endlessly resourceful. Air is lofty, distant, and pervasive, very very thing you breathe and need to survive. Earth is solid, not likely to break with rough treatment, practical, and not afraid to become very dirty. Fire... quick to flashes of mood, unpredictable, heated, and consuming of all around her.

The genie... beautiful, treacherous in the most subtle of ways. Giving a man everything he wants, knowing with a wicked smile that everything a man wants will be his undoing, should he be foolish enough to accept it blindly.

Let's not forget the angel, being of beauty and light, knowing a man's heart, knowing what he needs, and how to make him work for it, be changed forever by getting it, and being made to advance the cause of the Host in the process.

And of course the demon... selfish, perilous, damaged, ambitious, hungry. She's looking to corrupt, advance, or just save her own ass, and will stop at nothing to do this.

A wonderful cast of characters for an erotic story. How about a mix? An Ocean's 11 ensemble cast of supernatural?

But I digress... if I remember correctly, the question was, what's your favorite? Of course that would be "the one that most fits the story, who most deliciously reveals my hero or heroine in a needy, heated, sensual light.

; )

A friend of mine who's from Serbia constantly writes erotic stories about creatures he calls "damphirs". Halfhuman/half vampire and apparently very sexual creatures.

The only Damphirs I ever heard of was from a chick novel...

Its kind of disgusting, I'm probably not the only one who has noticed the increasing flow of shitty vampire novels, especially after the Twilight books. For me the Twilight books were interesting, but not very well written, just something to read when you were bored.

But now we have a bazillion series of badly written melodramatic pieces of shit that make me never want to read another vampire novel again, and I'd love to say that the trend doesn't exist in lit, but it does. I only read vampire stories if they are done by SadieRose, and I have one or two stories that I still read that I dont remember the name of. Most stories though, especially if it has some dumb line like
'Evan gets seduced by a sexy creature of the night' (if you have to include the word 'sexy' you're trying too hard) I just walk away.

Has anyone else been disappointed by bad vampire literature?

P.S. Werewolves are a different story, I scour this site looking for any stories about them, no matter how bad ^_^

Although I like vampires a lot, and I love the new version of them being beautiful and nice. However I feel like I have been greatly disappointed by some these vampires series. most of them are too fucking cheesy for me to finish reading and Twilight is a hot fucking mess this alone makes me wish MTV and teenagers never existed just from the sheer stupidity of the series.

That's whenever I am in the bookstore I only go for the small few vampire books that I like. Authors Joey W.Hill, Gena Showalter, Laura Wright I love her new take on vampires, and Anya Bast.

As for supernatural creatures: I like vamps of course werewolves love dragons wish they were more series about them, angels, witches are my favorite demons and succubus.

I actually wrote a story about a werewolf, vampire, and a half breed succubus oh, and also there's a virginis in the mix.

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but I am currently writing a story about a black female vampire. There are hardly any of them around, when I post you should at least take a glimpse at it.

Started this thread a while ago, and it was just getting interesting!

But in the Story Ideas board, the idea (pun not intended) is to start threads geared towards new stories at Lit.

A discussion of "your favorite monster/mythical beast" could happen almost anywhere at Lit. (In example, it is no more appropriate here than it is at How To, BDSM Talk, or Am Pic Feedback.)
