Survival - Cyberdays

Franny ignored Darkmoon continueing her deadly dance and posed she sent out a spear of flame which ignited the first flesh golem before it reached them the thing failing about and igniting some of it's fellows. she continued nad froze another in place, when it's fellow touched it it crumbled to dust.

She was ready and not letting anything hold her back, the magic coursing through her body banishing the last of the unexplainable cold and fear.

OOC: then just say she's taking out the nearer skelotons. From what I understood it was a bunch of those golem things.

Flesh Golem- killable NPC

It raged, and writhed in agony. The surviving skeletons either ran for cover, or towards the two brave man and women. The Flesh Golem smashed a fist into a standing stone wall, making it crumble to the ground. It then used its Undead Ball attack on the two, going towards the female first. In doing the Undead Ball attack, it quickly smothered out the flames.

A barrier came up between the monster and the two humans and Franny finally was able to pass a glare at Darkmoon "Get moving! I can't hold sheilds like this long!" and she traced another rune sending another pillar of ice twords the fleeing skelotons and golem. While the fires were dimmed it didn't dim her tattoos. Or slow her dance. She would pay for her flare of magic. The enhancement spells that allowed her to cast fast, cast strong... Also made her pay in her own resorses.

Handy way to loose weight.

Darkmoon:

As I finished my warning I sprinted to the side in an effort to distract the Golem. It was the most serious threat. At the same time my spell went off and from the surrounding fields and woods swarms of biting and stinging insects descended on it doing their best to inflict as much pain and discomfort on it, to distract it as possible. They paid particular attention to it's head and face. I hoped it's eyes would suffer the most but only so much direction can be given to insects.

Circling it my flaming elven blade descended hacking into it's back as it rolled toward Franny. A large gobbet of dead flesh fell off and it and the wound smouldered from the firey blade.

She sent ice into the open wound, spining a dance were the ground at her feet formed into icy crystals tha tspiraled in enchanting towers of ice. up to her knees.

Darkmoon:

As the Golem reacted to the sword's blow and Franny's ice bolt it stopped rolling and stood erect pawing at it's face. Not so much in pain as to clear it's vision, or so it seemed.

This gave me a chance to ham string it and I struck the back of first one knee and then the other severing all of the connections between the upper and lower legs. Only thin threads kept the lower legs attached. Now it was restricted to it's knees and couldn't roll as the lower legs would flop around uncontrollably.

"It's eyes Fran, go for it's eyes if you can!" I shouted to her.

She spun and flung her hand out and sent the ice into the things eyes with unearing acceracy.

Darkmoon:

The things hands are pinned to it's eyes by the spikes of ice. Stepping back I again call upon the Gods of Nature and summon two more lightening strikes.

As they impact the foul, undead thing, I look around as I back toward Franny seeking the skeletons that had accompanied it here.

She coninued to dance running like a ballerena after the skelotons, a graceful figure in amongst the carnage.

But Franny was beinging to feel the strain, she eased off on the powerful spells and settled for small well aimed ones, taking off some of the enhancers.

Mr. Mosey

As I walked, I viewed the battle from my crystal skull. I laughed heartily. They were fighting the Flesh Golem as if it could feel pain. The undead could not feel pain, just their souls. No, the golem wasn't dead yet. Just immobolized... for the rest of eternity. So, I geuss you could consider it dead. Those two were a formidable pair. I had a feeling that I would be seeing them soon. I gave the crystal skull to my servant imp, who would carry it for the rest of the journey.

Darkmoon:

I followed in her wake as she spun and pirouetted dropping skeleton after skeleton as I guarded her back doing my share by keeping them off her.

Finally the last had been dispatched and we stood dripping with sweat and panting to get our breath back again.

Falling into a dancers ending Franny laid still trying desperately trying to get her breath back and feeling as if she couldn't. She felt weak. Not a good sign, she should have stopped awhile ago. But not till the town had been cleared.

Darkmoon:

The flames on my elven blade die out and it's sheathed again. Finally able to breathe normally again, now that the adrenalin is no longer flowing freely, I help Fran to her feet and over to a shade tree.

Going to the well I draw a bucket of cold water and untie the bucket then carry it over so we can slake our thirst and use a cloth from my pack to wipe off the sweat and ashes.

Franny still didn't move, she didn't have the energy to at the moment. Needed a few more moments rest than just a couple seconds.

Darkmoon:

After I've given us all we need to drink and wiped us down I forage a bit and come up with some food for us both to help replenish lost energy and give us a more filling meal than we'd gotten from the priestess. Then I too sit back and relax a bit.

"You know Fran this is the first time I've ever run into so many undead. I hope it's not a portent of things to come in the future. Many, as I'm sure you know, are far harder to dispatch then the ones we fought today."

Franny had to have help to sit up and while he put food in her hand but couldn't find the energy to bring it to her lips for some time, still seated.

She lisened to him "I need to brush up my magic skills then it seems" she wispered horsly. If she still had her old clothing she'd have an elixer to help her replentish her strenth, and others to help her last longer. Everything had it's drawbacks, but it was helpful in times of needs.

After a little while longer she slowly started to eat chewing like that too was tiring.

Darkmoon:

Her exhaustion was obvious and subtly I did what I could with my druid spells to replenish her lost energy and vitality. Then there was nothing we could do but rest.

"Fran, is it possible for you to inscribe some of your runes onto other things, as some mages do, so that they have those magical properties?"

"Yes, that's what gave me the idea of putting the runes on my skin rather than on items and such. My clothing were all stitched with runes in the seems. That's how my sleeves were magiced to use as way to carry bagage. Also simple spells to keep them lasting longer and such." she wanted her clothing back, she had fun designing them now they were gone and she was stuck in this.. reveiling.. outfit that wasn't hers.

Darkmoon:

"Well I can understand what a loss they are, but that's good to know Fran.
"When time allows what do you think about inscribing some runes on the tips or shafts, whichever would be appropriate, so we can do some damage at a long range to any enemies we may meet.
"What will you need to rune those close and the arrows?"

Tired as I was I just couldn't resist looking at how much more was revealed as I waited her answer.

she inscribed a couple runes onto the ground "Actually" she said starting to slwoly sound more sure of herself and stronger "as a druid you could do these, especially since they are closly linked to nature. THis is Fire, this is Ice, the easiest to do, then come the harder ones like this one" she inscribed another "This goes to weather, like lightning" ads a line "Or rain" takes a different line away. "Very changeble and easy to mess up and end up with snow insted of rain, but the better to put on projectile weapons. More stationary weapons or ones held by hand like swords and axes, This one" and she inscribed a new one on the ground "Earth." she was nibling "Need to find someplace safe to sleep the night" she murmered "I.. don't have the enrgy, but if you could paint this symbol" and she did another one "On some stone around our camp, it's for protection, it will make me feel better" she said and leaned back watching him with tired eyes.

Darkmoon:

I copied each of the runes very carefully into my book and labeled each one. Franny checked them, made a small correction on the 'Snow' one and said they were fine now.

"We can't stay here now. Have to move on at least for a bit. We don't want to find ourselves surrounded by undead when we wake again."

I gently lifted her and carried her to the horses. Set her on the saddle and secured her's to my saddle then mounted taking her into my arms again. She was pulled back so she rested against my chest and with one arm around her the other on the reins we got moving.

We rode for about an hour into the woods, generally in the direction we'd been going, and after asking were a stream or pool could be found was led to a small pool and steam by a deer. It was a beaver pond and suited our needs just fine.

I woke Fran and then dismounted. I carried her to a tree again, a towering oak, and put her down to lean against as while I tended the horses and set up camp.

Lean to all finished, fire going and fish cooking with some vegetables from the marsh and woods and a lil pot of tea brewing I sat and watched her sleep until all was ready.

Gently waking her I laid her head in my lap and fed her, helping her sit up for sips and drinks. When she was finished and again asleep I cleaned up, banked the fire and lay beside her after arranging for several raccoons and owls to be my roaming security patrol with promises of food rewards when I woke in the morning.

Then I lay holding her under the blankets and my cloak and we both slept spoon fashion as she snuggled against me her firm ass against my crotch.

Mr. Mosey

I went to clearing in the forest, and said, "alright everyone, drop dead". All units then suddenly collapsed to the ground, not moving an inch. The vampire however, just simply burrowed into the ground, then slept there. I summoned the Coffin of Regeneration, climbed in, and fell asleep. All physical, mental, and magical attacks could not harm me while I was sleeping in this coffin. I was also porvided the air I needed, and a filter to keep the smell of rotting corpses away.

Franny was somewhat warm after teh fatgue of spell casting and snuggled with Darkmoon. She snuggled back, then paused when she fetl something in his sleeping form, so she just got somewhat more comfortable not sure just if that would wake him up or not.

how guys get.. hard that fast? She decided it was going to remain clueless and went to sleep, at least tried to. Side effect of all the enhancements. She zonked right after, but now she was wired, but unable to do anything about it. Till the last of the effects of the spells wore off she would be bad, at least she wasn't shaking or cold.
