If I only registered in February do I only get 1 gold star for 1 month?

Hi, I got so overexcited about taking part in the challenge that I forgot the first step, to declare my intentions to participate here.

Hopefully I won't run out of steam too quickly.

As far as I can tell, you get a gold star each month for the month as well as for each story. It's all part of the Perk Shop on Page one.

Sorry gents but I am done, my story was just AI rejected again for the fourth time. I just sent Laurel and Manu a PM challenging thier AI checker.

I have had the same experience as of late, even the ones that get published are held back for months. Not sure what their checker does.

So I was updating my scorecard and kept getting a message to say I'd gone over the 10,000 character limit. I've had to get rid of any category I didn't think I was likely to complete works for and it did save then.

I had the same problem last year.
I ended up splitting the scorecard into stories in one message and everything else in another.

Ahh, I might have made it too wordy for the more prolific writers. I'll have a ponder and see if I can come up with a lolution.

So the double category that can be bought with stars. Is that only if you want to use an already published story from your scorecard in another category? Or say, like me, you have lots of novel/novella in the scorecard because you've divided into chapters but you have chapters from a different novel published that would not fit on the the scorecard under novel - can they be added in under another category using the purchase of the double category with stars?

This challenge and game are interesting . @BryanRichardson I saw your post in the On The Job 2026 challenge thread. Maybe next year as I work into a flow as an author.

Its never too late to join this year. Its more a creative challenge for yourself as an author rather than a stiff competition. For me, that manage to write 4 stories a year its a little fun game to add them to my roster as they get posted. Also a good way to get some feedback and some more followers as this is a nice helpfull gang och writers.
