Boliro stretched atop a hillock and gazed into a near-bye pond, the full moon lights reflected in its rippling surface. Last night was the Grande Council. Once every hundred years the dragons of the four kingdoms would convene to discuss politics and disputes amongst themselves and the other races that they lived beside.
This meeting had been very different, there was only one topic: the dwindling number of young-lings. Dragons had become ever rarer over the past several centuries, and even when a mating did occur, the eggs had stopped hatching.
It had been decided that a sinister spell had been placed upon the dragon race from an unknown source. It had been cast to Boliro to find help. Only a great human sorceress could hope to reverse the spell, only she was yet to be born.
His claws ran across the book. Pail lightning danced between his talons. The dancing forks of lights mingled with Boliro’s flashing eyes as a thunderclap rolled through the cloudless sky. The book vanished. Boliro gazed at the moon, “Please find her.” He whispered…
