Tattoo's: Cool or not??

I'm thinking of getting a tattoo of a Phoenix too, but I can't find anything that strikes my fancy. I want a firebird phoenix, but most artists around me don't know what it is. Any suggestions?

I like them...think they are an extended expression of oneself...and have one of my very own. It is of a flaming heart, on my ankle...done at age 21 before I had the good sense to look deep within myself for something that was really important to me. If I had to do it over again, I would have waited, researched the artists in my area, and chosen something different, but I don't mind it...and it's meaning holds a special place in my heart. I always thought I'd get another one...but illness (Juvenile Diabetes at age 26) prevents me from inflicting bodily injury to myself, and something like that just wouldn't heal on me anymore...but if they ever find a cure...LOOK OUT!!!!
