Telegram or WhatsApp

Hello Everyone,
I don't know how popular these apps are on here but I thought I'd make a thread and find out. I've found that Telegram is probably the best and you don't have to give out personal info like phone number. It's username based.

I use both. Also don't have to hide anything from my wife wich is cool. I think telegram is the safer option as you do not need to give your number out.

I’m a recent conversion to Telegram. It has a lot of great features and lucky for me, since I use WhatsApp IRL, provides another venue to chat.

I have seen quite a few using yahoo or Google chat with temp email IDs. Telegram is secure but few don't know how to hide mobile number
