To the contrary, I find your sarcasm quite pleasing, and we see eye to eye on a few (not all) topics.

I have given your thread a cursory look and while I didn't add any thoughts of my own (I don't think I have to explain that) I did find a few pictures I liked. I tend to post comments to picture threads when the photos are of unusually high quality, and it rarely has anything to do with the subject. I've seen really hot images of really overweight women, and really shitty pictures of models. I'd avoid the model pictures for that reason. (I would not, however, avoid a model thread if the pictures were really well done. I'm not stupid, just picky.)

Maybe you're right and I'd shit myself if I read through some of the posts on your thread, but that shouldn't reflect on you - it should only reflect my disdain for your readers' comments.

Here's a topic that usually stirs a fire or two: Women in the military.

Let me go out on a limb here and say that men and women are not equal and never will be, but the reason that women should not be allowed to fight alongside men in the military isn't because they can't do as many push-ups or run as fast (which they can't, but we'll get to that in a minute). It's because men are different when there's a woman in the mix.

If you've never been in the military, this won't mean much, but trust me when I say that a group of male soldiers is generally a cohesive fighting unit. They are each willing and able to fight as a team and they depend on one another for protection and to provide all the necessary skills that may be required for the fight at hand.

When you take a female and inject her into a military unit, you no longer have a team of soldiers, you have a group of men who are going to look out for the girl. This is just human nature and it happens all the time. Either each guy thinks he has to be the hero, or for whatever reason a few of them think she isn't supposed to be there, or maybe one or two get the idea that if they protect her a little bit more than they would protect their brother soldiers that she will appreciate the help and show him a little lovin'.

None of those reasons have anything to do with the woman being of lesser physical conditioning or ability - they are all because men are different around women. Hell, I've seen it on these boards - when you insult a woman here, all the men that have been sucking up to her all jump in to attack, even if she didn't ask for the help. That's how guys are. (And some women, too.)

Of course, there are exceptions. Well, I suppose there are, but I never saw it in eight years in the Army.

Now on to the physical reasons for not having the women serving with the men. Women aren't as strong as a man. Period. The physical requirements for female recruits are much less than those for the men. They don't have to do as many sit-ups or push-ups, nor do they have to run as fast. These are the military standards I'm talking about.

There are feminine requirements that the men don't have to worry about. When a unit deploys to the field for training, the female soldiers are allowed to drive or fly back to the rear area to take care of their dirty pussies while the men have to stay in the field with little or no sanitation other than a pit toilet and three squares of toilet paper. What do you think this does to the morale of the men when they see the girls hopping off a truck all clean and shiny while they are forced to sleep in dirt for a month at a time?

And finally my biggest pet fucking peeve: How come these women aren't required to sign up for the Selective Service (the draft)? If the fucking liberals want a military made up of men and women and that reflects what the American military should strive to be, why not get everybody in on the action when it comes to time to draft every able-bodied citizen for military service? "Oh, no! We can't have the girls getting drafted to war!!" Why fucking not?!?

Want to know what I'd do? Open up the Selective Service to everybody and put the women on the front lines in all combat units and job descriptions, but require them to also maintain the same physical standards so that your sons will be able to rely on the women to carry them out of a firefight without having to call for help.

It's nice to be in the military and not see anyone as black or white or Indian or Swedish, but this same standard of non-discrimnation has to applied across the sexes, too.

I absolutely agree with you that everyone should have to adhere to the same physical requirements regardless of sex. Set the standards, and let anybody who can meet them in. However, I don't think it's fair to withhold any woman who meets said standards from service because of the way the males in her unit might react to her. That's not really her fault and it would be an infringement on her rights to keep her out because her mere presence might theoretically lessen the maximum effectiveness of her unit. I feel the same way about gays in the military.

One might argue that it's an infringement upon women's rights in the first place to set physical performance standards so high that very few women will be able to meet them. I dunno, for some reason I don't have as much of a problem with that. As long as they don't make them sex specific ("penis required") I'm not going to get all pissed off about it.

I'd probably agree with you if it could be proven that the military men could be counted on to not treat the women any differently, but at this point in history, it ain't gonna happen. Oh, sure, Hollywood likes to portray a future in which the men and women of the armed forces are on such equal footing that they actually shower together and fight side-by-side on the front lines, but that's not the case in any Army on the planet and never has been. I doubt we'll see that in our lifetimes.

In my opinion, military effectiveness trumps political correctness, because the effectiveness of the unit is what brings our guys home in one piece instead of pine boxes. Try to tell someone's mother that her boy died because the female soldier he was fighting with couldn't pull him over a wall or drag his wounded body out of harm's way.

If some hot chick wants to go fight for stability in Iraq I really don't think it's fair to say, "No sweetie, you'd be too much of a distraction to the other soldiers." This isn't about political correctness, this is about a sheer violation of the rights of half of our voting citizens.

I mean, you may as well take this further and argue that women should be prevented from holding governmental positions because they would be too distracting to all the male law-makers around them. I'm sure many-a-congressman is too busy staring at the ass or tits of the congresswoman in front of him to be able to properly weigh the pros and cons of voting for or against some bill. And then our whole country suffers.

Yeah it's a shame we ruined the military when we started letting the chicks in. It's not like they have anything to contribute.

I'm sure the increase in soldiers coming home in pine boxes has absolutely nothing to do with strategic miscalculations or anything. It's all about the titties on the frontlines.

my dad is fireman
there 3 girls in the department as well
they all agree they physicaly preform as well as the males, but thats the beauty of it, theres differant posistions that need to be filled.
