A lot of Texas is in line to receive heavy rains and high wind for the next couple of days. Everyone be safe! It's a good time to stay in bed, preferably not alone. Here in the Hill Country, there are already some flood watches in place, but so far we have only had a few sprinkles.

Why, oh why didn't I check in with you lovelies this morning?! It was raining before I got out to the barn to feed and the horses simply REFUSED to come up so I had to wade through the pasture puddles to retrieve them. All of that while rain blew sideways from the north drenching me from head to toe.
At one point, I just stopped trying to make sense of my rantings and started spewing curse words in a non-sensical way, making up new ones as I went along.
But that was this morning, and now I'm dry and cozy wrapped up in this blanket. All is right with the world again. I must make it a point to check in here first thing in the morning.
And hey, we really, really, really needed this rain...so, I'm not complaining.

Somehow, with a weather system stretching from Mexico to Maine, my little part is Texas just isn't getting any rain

Hmmm. No 80 year old neighbor, true. But now I have no yard, meaning I'd have to dance naked in the street.
As happening as this new neighborhood is I might get some unexpected results....Okay. That's a lie. The results I'd get would be totally expected!
