Haha I moved about 6 months ago from the "fake hippie" zone to near the sad Randall's (not sure why it's sad...)

I think the scary HEB is the one on S. Congress and Oltorf.... it's only scary in the sense that I get anxiety just driving in the parking lot (so many people in a store built in the 50s!)

Sounds like we're just across Ben White from each other then.

That is usually the HEB that I go to, but I go late at night when it's not so crowded. I can't stand crowded grocery stores. When I'm pushing a shopping cart, I try to observe the same types of rules I would if I were driving a car. But I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who thinks of it that way. Everyone else stops, goes, turns, and drives where ever, whenever they want. It's ridiculous.

I don't know why it's a sad Randall's either. Maybe cause Randall's is so much more expensive?
 
Anyone know why it makes you put something in the "subject" box when replying to a thread?

I just noticed another sad Randall's. next to Mopac and the river. and a "scarier HEB" near the bottom of the map haha

Maybe the guy/girl who made this map is just weird about grocery stores.
 
I have at least 2 or 3 scary HEBs in my neck of the woods.

The Randall at 71 and Manchaca is the saddest. It's always depressing going into that one.
 
This person clearly has strong opinions on grocery stores... I think there might be a clinical condition for that :p

They didn't mark any of the hippie grocery stores like Sprouts.
 
I think this map has been around for a few years... maybe before Sprouts was in the area.
I'm a Central Market girl myself.

Central Market and HEB are the same company... I know they are different, though. I USD to shop CM in Ft Worth. I miss it!

lol... I used to work for a lease space in Target and so I shoppes there all the time. I :heart: Target!
 
I'll go to target to buy basic groceries like dog food, soda, etc. But I wouldn't go there to buy produce or meat or anything.

The weekend is almost upon us. Not just any weekend, mind you! Yes, it's St. Patrick's day, but not just that, either... It's my birthday weekend (well, specifically Saturday). I am giving each of you the task of celebrating. If you are up to the task, I want everyone to have a drink or ten for me on Saturday.. a virtual birthday party!
