Thank you πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

And Em can just ignore all of us, you can just ignore all of us...

Well, yes. She generally does.

Surely you've noticed that when you reply in her threads, she usually declines to answer you? I have no dog in your fight with her, but it's hard not to notice.

Actually, what they decline to do is quote people while still answering their posts.

Very well. I'm not here to answer for anyone but myself. What I see is sometimes different from what others see.

Regardless, she started the thread. It seems to me that she wasn't trying to piss in anyone's cheerios. Maybe she was and I'm just dense; whatever. I can only operate based on my own perceptions.

I used to be fairly mean-spirited around here at times. I realized that was childish on my part, and that it did nothing at all to help anyone with their writing. So I try to be a bit more tolerant now. But the endless pile-on from some against others? It just gets old, and I say that as someone who's not really aligned with either "side."

I do admit to sucking at math. And Emily seems not to. So when she tries to provide math, I do tend to take it at face value.

Then what's the problem with us commenting, if she's just going to ignore us?

You can't have it both ways.

"Us?"

Cliques aren't something I do, generally, so I can't comment on that. You're obviously welcome to say whatever you wish, and if it's useful (as it often is) I'm happy it's here. If it's useless, I don't mind calling it out.

There's nuance in life. So sure, I can have it more than one way. I'm comfortable with ambiguity. A black-and-white life is, I think, a myth.

It's an open forum, so the responses can't be limited by anyone except mods and thankfully, we don't have Reddit caliber mods in this place. Sometimes the most helpful advice doesn't come with a smile and a hug, but I wouldn't call that spite, but repetitious topics bring repetitious replies, some of them are in agreement, some of them are not.

Emily's math comes from the willingness to be online when their story goes live and have the motivation to refresh constantly while writing down any difference in score they see, then it's basic math.

Yes, us, as in everyone who ever disagrees with the person you are white knighting for.

And if you think @Pinksilkglove and I are in the same clique....

And the claim of nuance is just trying to obfuscate your clear hypocrisy. Your position is pretty clearly "It's OK when people I agree with do it."

It's nothing any moron with half a grasp of Excel couldn't do.
There is no serious statistical analysis to any of it.

You have a pleasant evening, now.:rose:

Em is correct: if she triggers you? Just ignore her. It's not that hard.

90% of the time I do. She's basically an attention whore spammer. But this time she is not correct. She is claiming responsibility for saving all of our scores from the troll. Well, first, there are many trolls, and as I have pointed out more than once in both of these treads, that the sweeps began TWO DAYS before Em message the admin. I know this because heaps of downvotes were being removed every few hours for those two days. So, no, she's not the heroine that she is claiming to be. No, she is not our supreme savior. No, her feet do not require our kisses. She is claiming justification that she is 100% right in all of her analyses and while I have never disagreed that there is systematic (bot or otherwise) trolling going on, her analyses are not 100% proven. Neither are they disproven, granted, but hardly proven, as she claims.

I'm very clear on what your opinion of all this is.

As someone with an autistic loved one, my experience differs from yours. Enjoy your evening.

I've worked with vulnerable people. You can save your lecture on neurodivergence. You want to deal with your divergence or do you prefer your crutch?

There's certainly no need for an ad-hominem. I didn't say that. If we're at the point now where you're putting words in my mouth, you can fuck right off.

Funny, it's exactly what your pal DJMAC said to me. So was it an attack when he said it to me, or is this more "nuance"?

You going to call him out for ad-hominem?

This is tiresome. I don't think you're conversing in good faith.

Have fun. You'll be talking to yourself from now on.

No need for spite. Enjoy your evening.

No spite here. If I write blue and you read pink I can't help that.

This is the third time on this page that you have said 'enjoy your evening' yet can't walk away. If you have something to say, say it.
