A twist on this premise would be a woman eavesdropping on a female coworker who is whispering into a phone the arrangements of a cruise. Thinking it odd that the coworker would be whispering and straining to hear her repeat back the cruise line, day of departure, etc., she does a little detective work and discovers that it's a lesbian cruise. (She had no idea.)

The eavesdropping woman always felt oddly attracted to her coworker - who was always quite friendly with her, and now, reflects back on every conversation they ever had. Although she doesn't book a room on the cruise, it causes her to question her preferences.
