Remember when you would walk in every 3 years. They would upgrade your phone, you pay an activation fee and the tax for the phone. They would transfer your info over to your new phone and you were good to go. Not anymore!

I was trying to sign on to a work website from a link jn my work email. Couldn't remember my password so needed to reset... put in my work email...you know the one with the original email and they said my email was not registered to said acct.....really????

Wish there was a “shakes head” emoji for most things work related.

On occasion. There aren't motels everywhere the Cruiser takes me. And sometimes, you pull the canoe off the river and need to sleep.

Winter camping was only for ice fishing or caribou hunting. Now, I prefer to go to my cabin where I can come back to a warm abode after playing in the snow. Leave the animals alone and come back without smelling like fish or blood. Well, sometimes some grouse or ptarmigan follow me home at the cabin.

I’m amazed by people who live in the Alaskan wilderness. Saw a really cool documentary many years abt a guy who moved to Alaska and built his own cabin, his own furniture and his own kitchen type tools.

Long day!

Got up a bit early to vote. Then off to work. Had to put out a major fire at work. (Figuratively) the new system I’m working on will be delayed.

So we had to revert to some of our contingency plan communications and figure a buncha shit out and inform key stakeholders.

Had a “date” with the tax collector tonite abt our farm assessment revocation. Some tempers flared. He fell on his sword. The deadline to file was 1 August. We filed our paperwork on 29 April along with our May quarterly tax for the farm. He even helped us make a correction!

I have zero faith that he will get this right next year. Piles of shit everywhere, filing shit by putting it in different boxes… I get it, he works two days and one night a week, but damn….

Good news is that we won’t have to file a tax appeal and plead our case at the county level now.
