I miss chasing Lilli but happy she is getting to bed earlier with sound sleep.

I slept in today which means not up at 4.

Today I see my girlfriend since she and her family went on a mini vacation. I also will be getting together with friends for football games.

Tomorrow I start baking and making vegetable soup.

I miss you chasing me, too! Maybe I should try to get on here during the day.

I baked today. Plumber guy brought his adorable 13 yo son with him today. We made cookies. He was my QC guy!

I managed to drive myself to the ER somehow. Drove 20 mph and barely made it through the ER doors. It was surreal. They did treat me well.

Oh, sweetie! I'm glad you got good care! Next time, if you're that bad, let the pretty EMS boys and girls bring you in! You will get taken directly to the back. They can also administer good drugs!

I talked with my dad on his 23rd wedding anniversary. Two days later he was dead from a massive heart attack. I'm always grateful I was able to tell him I loved him.

Popping in quickly to say “hi”. After 3 days of snow we ended up with over 24” (some areas of the state got 37” or more). I tried to keep up with the shoveling, but at times it was futile. Luckily I have a snow blower which took care of the heaviest work this morning. Question, is it normal to use your heated seats in your SUV for your back pain? Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Using the heated seats is an ingenious way to deal with your back pain!

And 24 INCHES??? That would be "Day After Tomorrow" level for western WA!

My PC sputtered and burped so many times last night...

I got a new laptop on Prime Day because my old Dell is about 10 years old. I was fearful it would die on me at an inopportune time. I'm frustrated now because I can't get my new laptop to see the two auxiliary monitors I have. The setup worked perfectly with my Dell. Not so much with this one. I talked with tech support yesterday. They will be calling me back on Monday as they couldn't replicate my problem.

Glad you paced yourself. Hope your back feels better soon. Have to say, I love my Toro Electric Power Shovel Snow Thrower. I only have to clear my deck, front stoop, and a 3 foot (1 yard) strip in front of my garage door. Even so, some years it was back breaking. So I snapped one up when it went on sale.

Tonight’s dinner was mystery dinner.

We have been on a kick of cleaning out our freezer and all the things that have been in there. We’re making good headway and today we did an inventory of what was left.

I pulled out one plastic container, full of something. It was totally frosted over and we could not identify it. So we pulled it out to see what it might be.

Turned out it was a container of pea soup that I made last winter. It was excellent!

That's excellent, W! I have a bunch of unlabeled mystery stuff in my freezers, too. I need to start eating out of my freezer. There's too much stuff in there.

I hate that... It may be part of a geological cycle (macro, macro view), but I still don't like it.

It's not a competition and my state has it way better than others, but we're still a mix of Abnormally Dry, Moderate Drought, and Severe Drought according to the U.S. Drought Monitor maps. We got almost no snow last winder. So I'm hoping we make up for it this year. Anything to help with the spring wildfire season.

We were in a drought this summer. Fortunately, the rains have come. I'm so glad! 🌧
