Happy Sunday. I'm a bit out of focus. I'm kind of tired, a touch depressed, and the days are getting both shorter and colder. And it doesn't rain any more. The cats are fine. TDK is close, watching me. Still stuck on this plateau. The tendinitis is a bit better, but it's very early in the treatment process. I don't feel like doing shores. No matter - this is temporary.

Never had heated seats or steering wheel…hopped in my dad’s truck and the wheel was burning my hands! . My truck has both…I have to say…now that I can crank that baby from the house, get the seats nice and warm and my steering wheel warmed up…yeah…big fan now.

How did I ever get along without it?

Been raining here since last night. Both a blessing and a curse. If it keeps raining until snow, we'll be good. If it dries out and gets windy again, not so much.

Either way, time to get the snow shoveling equipment ready. It's getting uncomfortably close to that time of year. Have to be fully prepared...

I talked with my dad on his 23rd wedding anniversary. Two days later he was dead from a massive heart attack. I'm always grateful I was able to tell him I loved him.

I'm so sorry about your dad. Love that you had that special time together and were able to express your love to him.

I don't doubt my dad knew I loved him. Just sad that I missed what ended up being one of the last chances to express it to him unequivocally. I'm learning though. My niblings will tell you their auntie is silly, but gives the best hugs.

Quick catch up...

I got a new laptop on Prime Day because my old Dell is about 10 years old. I was fearful it would die on me at an inopportune time. I'm frustrated now because I can't get my new laptop to see the two auxiliary monitors I have. The setup worked perfectly with my Dell. Not so much with this one. I talked with tech support yesterday. They will be calling me back on Monday as they couldn't replicate my problem.

I missed Prime Day and hope this PC will last through Black Friday / Cyber Monday. Thankfully some sales have started early, so I've been browsing already.
Expensive year - both PC and cell phone need replacing - both quite desperately.

We had that once, but not in the freezer.
Remember the Campbell's Labels campaign for schools?
One year in particular, our grade school pushed it hard.
Each teacher told each class they expected 5 labels per student by the end of the week.
At the time, we had 5 kids in different grades at the same time.
I thought mom was going to lose it when she saw all the naked canned goods in the pantry!
I can only imagine how the conversation went between her and either the school secretary or the principal. I know she spoke with one of them, just not sure which. We were never pressured about bringing in labels ever again. The messaging changed to "check with your parents and bring in what you are able".
Thankfully, most of the cans were stamped on the bottom with both expiration date and a short description to give a clue to the contents.

Heated car seats are the BOMB, Likes! Especially when it's really cold out. Nothing like getting your bum nice and toasty warm on your way to wherever!

IMO - one must be properly introduced to seat warmers.
Having someone turn one on in the dead of winter (several degrees below zero) with no warning or mention? They apologized right away once they saw the look on my face. That look of "how do I tell them I've wet the seat of their brand new car???"

Yikes! I hope you had some of those furniture moving disks or devices to help slide them around so you don't hurt yourself. I have a set of 4 discs - worth every penny IMO.

I didn't need my Tylenol yesterday. I didn't reapply my patch last night either because the pain wasn't bad, so I'm a little sore today lol. I took Tylenol a few minutes ago. It's not bad though, considering.

Other than watching the rice for glycemic index, I do pretty well with Asian. I don't care for most of the deep fried options. My favorite is chicken with bean sprouts. So yummy and fresh!!

Oh, no! Hope someone contacts you soon. This is a chilly time of year!! I had this happen 2 days before Thanksgiving one year. Was a very cold 12 days before they could replace it.
FYI - I was told that often if a furnace goes out and needs replacing that the A/C will go out the next summer. Sure enough - my A/C went out that next summer and needed it replaced as well. Not saying it works that way, but often enough for people to give a heads up.
