Well, we found out the home care person had COVID. We asked them to stay out till we take Mom to the doctor and get her checked out. She was doing better but those last two days she spent in bed and not eating enough. Today will be better.

Yesterday I walked into her room and she asked me if I had seen those women that were just leaving. I asked her who they were and she pointed at the tv. QVC was on. I asked her if those were the women and she said yes, they just walked out. That's when I light bulb went off in her head and she shut down for a few minutes. She is putting off a doctor's visit. I think she suspects that I'm going to get her tested.

It's interesting around here for sure and I can't help but think the universe is keeping me here and unemployed. It shouldnt have taken this long to give me a start date. A week is just too long. I could have moved on to another company and been at orientation already. But then what would happen with Mom if I were already gone.

Man. Thats a tough one. But family is everything. But to the detriment of your own job?? Ooof. That’s a tough one.

I convinced everyone I could to pack some for he return trip. So smooth and sweet you could drink it straight no problem. Never saw it again after that one trip. I dont drink liquor too much, but i like a good drink now and again. I do like various whiskeys, but when I bought our farm, we bought it from this Spanish guy. He went to Cuba and somehow got some really good Cuban rum. It is FANTASTIC! I think he brought it here thru Spain.

I would like some sort of 1911. It’d have to be a repro I think tho.

browning Hi power - same maybe a repro. Springfield makes a good one.

And an old wheel gun. I’d like a webley revolver or an old Colt single action.

Bucket list stuff.

Prolly more pragmatic to get my Torino running and begin the body work. Decisions, decisions.

Yes, the tool I got her was the root slayer. It’s a transplanting shovel with a sweater edge to go thru tough earth and god know what else! 😂
