We asked for a late check out due to our schedule change. Nope. Those places are shit-shows if you’re there on business. Vacation? Great. Bizz…hard pass. If they put us there again I’ll have it changed. The problem w Vegas is there’s always something going on. Last fall I had an overnight the week before the F1 race, Pink and four others were in concert, a Female MMA fight, and U2 was playing the Sphere! The traffic was a nightmare due to the F1 road course being set up.

Vegas…it’s not my bag baby!

Went to see my kiddos today, then went to mow my yard. Starter cord came undone and I nearly threw my back out. Went and got a new mower and got the yard mowed anyway. Now to calm down and relax. Hope everyone has a great 24-hour cycle.

It wouldn't be what I would want. I have never enjoyed havng to pretend to be someone else or suppress any aspect of my personality or interests.

Rural life is nice in that the area is pretty and there aren't cars and fumes everwyehere. But the price we sometimes pay for that is there are less social opportunities. YMMV of course

True. I lived rurally when I first moved to the PNW. I still managed to meet my husband.

OMFG!!! THIS is so true but reverse in my marriage. I'm the one with impossible laundry standards. Particularly folding. She hasn't washed and folded my laundry is almost two decades.

It is often commented that I have noticeably low standards. It is part of my charm!

Travel day was a success - I missed all the big storms on the way home. Just one large lightening strike in the distance and 2 short instances of intense rain. Made good time and uneventful. Win!

basement flood

I have a very vague memory of a basement flood after a storm that also brought a tree down on the roof. Mom and dad sorting through books and photos and realizing most had to be thrown out because of damage and/or mold. Was a sad and subdued day.

Hi all fell asleep for a nap at 6 and just woke up to the dog next door whine crying and throwing his toy into the fence.... I am.sick of it.
I likely will be able to fall back asleep in a bit. I must need the sleep
have a headache from all the crap I ate today.....

Morning. Just wanted to pop in to say hi before Urgent Care opens. I picked up a nasty upper respiratory infection so I’ve got to get it checked out. Y’all be safe and I’ll be back when I can.

UPDATE; well the COVID, RSV, Flu-A and Flu-B tests all came back negative. It’s just a run of the mill sinus infection / respiratory infection. Now on anti-biotics, lots of fluid, and rest. I doubt I’ll be in the rest of the day, but thanks for all the well wishes. Y’all be good

We've been in the hospital for 2 days. All of moms tests and imaging came back fine. They have diagnosed dementia finally but man, it came on so fast. They are giving her meds to keep her calm and possibly help her sleep.

Now that she has a diagnosis, I need to call Medicare and see what kind of help we can get for her. I promised her awhile ago that Jenn and I will keep her in her home until the end, come hell or high water.

My neighbors partner was fussing about mowing...I said I didn't give a crap how it l[ked only that it was done.... so my friend mowed a rainbow knowing it would drive his partner crazy....I cracked up
