My sister in law drove me back to Florida today so I could get my truck and tractor from the house before it sells.

Im guessing everyone was Waiting to hear from me before they posted. I'm so sorry I took so long

Please. Carry on.

That was nice of her. Glad you could get them before the sale.
Yep, whole place came to a screeching halt without you!
It sure did!

Well good night all.... feeling tired and head achy
Hopefully you sleep through the night. If I see you here at 3am, I will have words for you!

I think I'm going to I try wind down too. Put some grass seed down, and being out there for the hour it took absolutely wiped me out. Allergy season is in full swing here.

Goodnight everyone.

Top of the morning everyone! I missed yesterday and yesterday was a bust for me. I was supposed to get blood test and had to fast for 12 hrs. and no coffee! I had a 7am appointment. I get to Lab Corp to get my blood drawn and they did not have a scrpt from my Dr. So I fasted for 12 hrs and did not have coffee for naught. I had brewed coffee and it was in my travel mug in the truck. I have to do the whole thing over again.
Urgh. That is beyond annoying. Not only sets you back a day but you have to do all of the fucking fasting again (and no coffee). This is cruel and unusual.

I'm not sure what she refers to it as. She's a full blown MD, with a NP working with her. Has access to all of the hospital labs, writes prescriptions, etc. She's not afraid to find a specialist or order labs when needed. I think she just got fed up with the medical system, and opened her own thing. I know insurance was too much overhead to deal with. So she just avoided it. 🤷‍♂️
Sounds like a great practice. I would do something like that too.

I was bringing my coffee and my computer laptop bag out to my truck today to go to work.

Then it started pissing down raining. Really coming down. I was soaked. I ran 10 feet to the truck but was pretty wet. Once inside the truck, it stopped raining. 😂

But somehow, it did not rain the rest of the day and even though there were pop-up showers left right and center on my way coming home, I got to mow two of our three lawns.

Made for a late day. I think I’m gonna hit it.

It didn’t rain most of the day

The few practitioners I'm familiar with in my area who don't take insurance? Their visits end up costing several thousands of dollars. Yes, they treat the more complex cases that take more time and resources. But also - having complex or chronic illness is expensive and most people I know are unable to afford $2k - $5k for every doctor's visit (that's including at least some labs).
I see two specialists who don’t take insurance, one costs about $650 per year and the other $450-750 per year.
It could cost more but I have other specialists that will help too and they take insurance. In my state , insurance must pay part of the cost if you are a rare patient and there are no doctors within the insurance system, which there aren’t.
My parents have a concierge doctor that costs $3k per year. That’s all visits each year and he will do house calls.

Are you like Wednesday Addams with her own, personal rain cloud? 🤨

A world-famous chef once told me, on the subject of wine in cooking, "if you wouldn't drink it, don't cook with it"
If I'm making risotto or a scampi, I'll use the good stuff. If I'm making something in the crock pot and just want to break down tough fibers, I'll use wine I won't drink. Often, I'll finish such a dish with something good.
