A good happy Sunday morning to everyone. Coffee cup is empty so I am headed for the second one and I am feeling human. We are going ot have a perfect Sunday for the beach but it is too crowded on days like today. Wishing you all the best.
I want to take a moment and remember all of those we honor this weekend. I am thinking of Harold and Dick who we lost way too young.

Well, providence has shown on me. Company left me in a hotel so I can watch the single greatest day of racing on the planet. F1 kicking off in Monaco, Indy 500, then the Co-Cola 600…

I realized today I have to take a look at the hot tub. My husband always took care of it. It's my job now.

I don't envy you, W. Pools are great but also a lot of work to maintain.

One of the best days of my life was when we took the pool down for good. Just planted grass seed on the spot where it used to be. People have these love hate relationships with things, this was more like a hate hate relationship.

It was great when the kids used it, but they grew out of that phase, so it was time to go!

I worked a summer during college on consltructing in ground pools. I know a lot of people have taken them out. They require constant attention. That is why when I wanted one I put in an above ground pool with a 360 deck around it.

We were out on a boat with my uncle who served in WW II , Korea and Viet Nam. He lied about his age to get in the army. His comment was,"This is what is great about America." It is and we must preserve it.

We sold $40 worth of seedlings, but someone only left $15.

This happens every so often. Typically, I magically find the remaining money a few days later.

I get it, a lot of people don’t use cash anymore. So we’ll see.

I think people have only stole firewood or seedlings a handful of times. Here’s hoping!

I gave myself permission to rest today and slept 11 HOURS!!!

Hate that. I helped out a friend with a produce stand shift back in the day. Realized "this is why bodegas limit the number of kids in the store at one time". The losses happened during customer swarms.

I just got to the point where I didn't put anything on my plate that I didn't like to begin with. If asked, I would just say it's not my....thing, vibe, taste, adventure.

Neither my wife nor I could get into the groove of things today. It was cool and windy - not great for gardening or working outside but we did it anyway.

But not before I left around our house and decided it needed a good cleaning. We don’t live in squalor, but our house isn’t spotless either and every so often I just can’t take it anymore. So I did a good, deep cleaning.

Then it was outside to join my wife weeding various garden beds and our veggie garden.

I think my short term fix of the pool is working. The water level hasn’t changed.

Then to a neighbors for a nice visit. They had a party and good to see people. Then watched the Mets beat the dodgers.

Goodnight all!

Thank you, I appreciate that.

It's not so much feeling responsible, it's more that I think she's develop/have developed an attachment to me.

I also think she might be turning to drink, and that is very serious.

It is. However, YOU can't be her savior. You can direct her to resources for help. Even if you were in a committed relationship, it's not advisable to be your partner's sole means of support. I've been there and it did not work. In fact, it was disastrous for me.
