FYI, I have no use for mid-week holidays, like New Years on a Thursday. Who planned this shit? Make that bitch either a Friday or a Monday and grant us a three-day weekend like is sensible and not something come up with by an Ice Age brain.

I think you can blame a pope in the 1500's for that. Since he instituted our current Gregorian calendar. Coincidentally the pope was named Gregory, weird, huh?

But in reality it was just an extension of the Julian calendar, which was also coincidentally proposed by Julius Caesar (Another weird coincidence! Strange...), to fix the overestimation of the length of a year in earth days.

But the real problem is whoever put the earth circling the sun at a non integer multiple of the rotation period of the earth itself. I mean, really, who does that! So, whoever that is, that's who was ultimately in charge of creating the calamity that befell you this year...

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! We finally throttled back and made it all about spending time with family and not trying to outdo Santa. We cooked and baked and gained ten lbs probably, but it was nice! Sounds like you had the same kind of experience! So happy you got spend it with the kids and a White Christmas to boot?

I fixed the entry point on the roof…sent mamma up the ladder! …JK…cut out the damaged pipe and capped two vents that I could reach. Haven’t had a problem since! Victory over rodents!

I asked my neighbor who has a drone to send it up and inspect the one vent I was too chicken to crawl up to (easily 30+ high) but our county wont allow it and blanked his app out. I guess you have to buy a license to fly residentially? I know you have to get a license to operate one but wasn’t aware they could limit it in your own yard?

Welcome back, we partied down and drank a few cups of coffee (maybe laced with Kalua?) in your stead.
