It’s been 2 weeks. I know he is trying to keep his breathing normal so he doesn’t get pneumonia. I suspect it hurts to breathe with those broken ribs. He is one year younger than me to the day.

I will hurt for him to breathe but it's so important to do so. You can advise him to hold a pillow tightly to his chest then deep breathe and cough. He can also exhale using pursed lips like he's going to blow up a balloon. These exercises will keep those little alveoli (air sacs) open. He should try to fo at least 10 each hour.

My tablet is different from Rj's - and doesn't work well for sites like Lit
I have 2 or 3 other browsers I can try.
I may just be SOL

Believe it or not we have our triennial forestry inspection today. I have no fucking idea how we’re gonna walk 2 miles up and back on our trails, but hey, the state forester is supposed to be here between 930-11.
