A friend is taking me as he has a place in Spain and is a member of a few clubs. I have never done it but he is very experienced. The boar are driven by hounds and we stand on the trails waiting. I will be shooting a standard 12 bore shotgun with single lead slug. The way I have shot this season heaven knows if I can hit a running boar. Deer are on the menu too apparently .. photos to follow. I think we have five days hunting so I hope it might get me a shot

Sounds like it’s gonna be an amazing time! Here in the US, wild boar hunting is fairly common. They are considered a pest and there’s no limit in many states.

Many people use rifles as well.

We are experiencing frozen propane in the tanks...

I am wondering if it’s frozen in the lines… When our generator did its self check on Saturday it only ran for a three or four minutes instead of the usual 10.

The generator seems fine, but I’m concerned that if we need it, it may not run. It runs on a separate propane tank than our heat.

Although I will say, we’ve had no problem with using our stove which runs on the same set of three tanks ganged together that the generator runs on.

On Friday when I work from home, I’m gonna see if it will run for a while.

We have a suit at HQ that adheres to this mantra! . He’s the Vp to the Veep or something or other. Been there for years, so I assume he does a good job of ass kissing.

When we go back for yearly Reeducation Camp, he’s always in the corner with his clipboard (actually now an iPad) and when the chief gets a hot topic question, he punts to “Rick” who then, will type furiously into his iPad, with a stern look on his face.

He never gets back to you…

The funny thing is, during big events, they’ll send him out on the road to help grease the skids. He still has that damn iPad tucked under his arm!

He should be a character in the movie we are writing

I remember a meeting with a Brit. "Big Whig" with Royal Dutch Shell.
When asked about crew changes he said "If it happens within 72 hours of the scheduled time, Shell considers it a successful crew change."

That meeting was on a Thursday.
He also said "I'm catching a flight, back across the pond to get home to my wife for the weekend."

I told him "Drag your happy ass in to her, Monday morning and ask her how successful that crew change was."

I still haven’t heard an official report but I think 5-6”…that’s an unofficial observation from looking at a table in my backyard with accumulation on it.

My friend in Greensboro said they got about 10 inches of snow. Everything’s paralyzed and no one knows what the fuck they’re doing.

The good news…truck, not stuck! The bad news. Get home and the tribe had packed the snow down around the garage, and didn’t shovel anything away. So after this little check in, and some liquid fuel to prop me up, I’m out to shovel the pack ice.

Sounds like a Teachable Moment for the tribe and a passle of shovels to me.

Back in the Good Ole Days (aka Clipboard Days), "Rick" would take all those furiously scribed notes with him to happy hour. He'd ask "Fred" the Bartender for an ashtray and a light.
There he would sit... alone... for hours sipping on a half-price beer. As the beer grew warm "Rick" would one-by-one tear each note from the clipboard, light it, and watch it burn into a greasy black curl of char.
When the notes were gone, so was he.

Problem being even though the propane is a gas and liquid, the gas has also frozen turning it into a solid.Just like the liquid is frozen

And, she did! I was sweating profusely when she was done with me!

I had one little mishap. I dropped a 35 lb dumbbell on my toe while doing squats with them. It slipped out of my hand. My gloves aren't long enough in the fingers and I was sweaty. Guess who's getting new gloves this week?
