The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Remember. Work is just prostitution.

They fuck you in all these cray positions but then they pay you. The more complicated the better for them and the more stress for you.

Depending on how sore you wanna be, you keep at it till you don’t run outta money so you can retire.

Till then, keep the lube handy!

Mister sunshine is awake! 😂
For decades people have asked me what I do for a living and you should see the face when I reply "I'm an oilfield prostitute."

OK, how does that work???
You asked for it. Talk to text here, so this may be a bit rambling.

Joe or Joan Blow worked at a manufacturing company that made insulation that contained asbestos back in the 1950s. Back then no one really knew that asbestos was really bad for you. Maybe the company hid that it was bad or legitimately didn’t know. “Hey, here’s shit that won’t burn up in a fire, and will also insulate the fuck out of a building!”

ABC insurance company wrote a general liability insurance policy for Insulation Inc. from 1952 to 1958 (just making up dates). Meanwhile the workers who worked at the plant have changed jobs or retired or whatever.

50 or 60 years later, one of the plant workers is diagnosed with mesothelioma and files a lawsuit against the insulation company. The insulation company might’ve gone out of business, or it might’ve been bought by a large conglomerate. Their lawyers are smart and know that their current liability cover won’t cover something so far back. So they go back and hire forensic. Investigators who find out who insured the company way back in the 1950s.

Maybe that insurance company is still around, or maybe they’re no longer around or have been brought up by a conglomerate themselves…

The current insurance company argues that the policy limits were exhausted or that the claim should be prorated across decades. Lawyers are involved, maybe courts are involved, maybe a class action lawsuit is leveled.

Maybe ABC insurance company had reinsurance. Maybe the reinsurance company is around still or maybe it’s not.

If the primary insurance company or the reinsurance company are still around, they are legally obligated to pay the claims. And we do! Trust me.

This is why there are still claims open from the 1950s.

Most property claims are closed rather quickly within a year or two at the most. But some of these liability claims can be open for Ages.

If there is no successor to the insurance company or reinsurance company, state or federal funds are often set aside to settle the suits.

These open claims are typically forfor environmental claims that make people sick long term. Asbestos, pollutants, “miracle products” (like asbestos was thought to be.)

But even a slip and fall claim, or an auto claim where someone is seriously injured can go on for ages…

It’s an interesting business and business that can look really good now can fuck you over tomorrow or 50 years from now.

This is why we don’t get bonuses for business we write.

My sister is in insurance. Her coworkers are morons.

I just watched the Olympics and now I understand this quote.

(Chock and bates are ice dancers - it is amazingly graceful and beautiful. And so is she. Damn, yo!!
To put an even finer point on it, they are married. It just adds a dimension to their routines that take it to another level. They got robbed out of the gold…even though the team that beat them was good, I don’t think they had a better routine, but what do I know…I thought the Bronze winners had the better of all of the routines.

And that’s about all I know bout ice skating…🤷🏻‍♂️

Holding down the Borough of Teter. Off to warmer climes later. Will report on anything that needs reporting. Off to shoo away hotel maids. They are a persistent bunch!

Go for it! Pick a date! After you retire, you will wonder why you didn't sooner!

I just really need two more yrs…then, all bets are off. If the wind is blowing right and the fish are biting…
I had a boyfriend who was crazy for bass fishing. 🎣 We spent SOOOO much money on equipment. Our fish cost us thousands of dollars per pound! 🤣😅

He liked large mouth fishing, but the most fun I ever had was catching stripers at Lake Powell. Those things fight HARD! And they're good eating! 😋
I’ll be in any store…Wallyworld, sporting goods, country store that sells tackle. I’ll just buy something…because…I’ll either need it, or think I need it. At some point it’s probably gonna get used.

Now add all that $ up…since like ‘77…😮

Hi HDH i think they were robbed too... the french judge scored the french team 8 points higher than all the other judges.... hmm... the 3rd place team was all heart and passion... i was so happy for them..
Scoring annoys me. Look at gymnastics in college... they reward skills with perfect scores but techniques they supposed to deduct for are ignored if they stick a landing..... bunch of participation trophy crap

Hi! Im kind of trying to follow them I am not watching them right now but I do watch updates and daily recaps on YouTube my understanding is the Canadian mens hockey team did very well today..
I need to check on it too. I was watching speed skating. That is so high tech these days. The Super G is true downhill where they get no practice runs. It’s adjust on the fly. And indeed they are flying.

Take care.
