I recall so many vacation time requests were questioned: who is your back up? How the work get done? My answer “me as always”. Like you, it was always 60 hours before and then after. The work just backed up. Management was stupid.

Yeah he replaced the white screwy thing and the washer. Filled the sink and emptied x2.... no leak and no charge

Wind here. Totally unexpected. I saw the forecast was wind. But 50MPH? Really? So many trees down in the hood I almost couldn't drive to home in the back of the hood. I wish I got home earlier. I'd be down there cutting limbs off that I could with my hand saws. What a mess. Well not as bad as it could be. Trash pickup was before the big wind got here. Still no planes moving at IAD.

Not 50mph, but couldn't have been too far from it. Had to clear about 12" of snow, except it was drifted all over. Roads were drifted half across, in most places today.

Only went out because someone got stuck and called for help. Good tires (or tyres) make a huge difference. Once the truck was warm, made the trip to the store for a few things.

I had regret last night as I picked up groceries with the mixed rain and snow blowing sideways into my window... until I saw the Winter Weather Warning today. Now I'm all stocked up. Just have to finish hauling up my loot to the 2nd floor.
Trick will be hauling up the salt for the water softener.
