These are good ideas. I will try them. Sometimes I use a phrase or poem that I say over and over.I think, after all these years, I have found the key to a whirling mind. I focus my mind on something simple. I didn't come up with the idea, i read about it while trying to find ways to get a better nights sleep. I count backwards from 99 by 3s. If I get to zero I start over again. It is simple but keeps my mind from wondering onto things like should I have done this or that or what happens if ......................
There are also other things but I have worked on getting better sleep for months and have tried some other things and they seem to have helped too. I find I am dreaming which is something you want to do for mental health. I had not dreamed for years.
