When I get a new toy, I like to try it out on my own. Doing so allows me to learn how it works best for me and explore some of the possibilities in a no-pressure environment. Even with our strap-on, I opened the box myself, put it all together and tried it on to see how it fit most comfortably. When we used it together, I was a lot more relaxed and confident than if I'd put it on for the first time with him there. I don't feel the same way but I respect his feelings and have agreed to not doing anything without him. He is really good about spending as much time as it takes for me to have several orgasms prior to PIV.

You have to remember this is all very new to us, pretty much all just within the last year or so. I think for him he likes to be in control and know that he is the one satisfying me and vice versa.
